Just had a look on my local one, since moving from Yahoo Groups the moderation seems to have improved!
There are more offered than wanted ads, and none of the 'wanteds' are for stupid things like big TVs or cars, might offer something soon and see how it goes since the last few times I've offered I was inundated with rude replies and no-shows!0 -
i offered a cheap mobile phone and got so many emails saying thats mine or gimme doesnt anyone say please
also had one going on about how she has never owned a mobile and would love one to keep in contact with the kids dads and at the end of the email it said SENT FROM MY IPHONE
what also annoys me is the amount of people saying they moving into their first flat and need everything
im in that position atm and me and my bf got old camp chairs to sit on, got some fantastic stuff from the charity shops for a few quid and even got camp beds to sleep on until we sort out a bed (thanks to my parents buying us one).
everything is going to be mismatched and maybe not in the best condition but clothes and dishes can be hand washed, sofas can be covered with a throw or a old bed sheet and most crts tv work fine with freeview boxes so why do people need a blue leather sofa or flatscreen tvs0 -
