Surely nobody's stupid enough not to see a trader for what they are?

She probably wants them delivered as well. I like how she just casually threw in 'Karen Millen etc' on the end. Why didn't she just go the whole hog and ask for some Prada shoes and a Chanel handbag as well to go with her new clothes.

tho what reallly annoys me now are the amount of "wanted for charity carboot (etc). ........ toys, games, books, clothes............ must be in EXCELLENT condition."

what happened to having 2nd hand stuff to sell and being grateful for it.

You'd be surprised how much some Primark stuff goes for on Ebay lol. I've seen used stuff go for more than it cost new. So wouldn't surprise me if she took it. I'd love it if someone just registered to offer her a massive bag of clothes, mostly designer or all the names she mentioned, and told her to pick them up 50 miles away from a fake address. That'll teach her for being greedy! ;)

If that was posted in our area, it'd be completely accepted. Unless you're a part of a church community of several other groups it can be hard to meet people out in the sticks.

Okay but what's it got to do with keeping second hand goods out of landfill?

    Oh, wait....;)

Oh you're evil! :rotfl: I like you.

I recently sold a pair of Matalan trousers for probably more than they would cost to buy (when you add the postage on). Ok they were new with tags but I still don't get it!
Then again, I was all set to freecycle some DVDs, decided to have a punt on ebay with them and one sold for £23. My new ethos is to try it out on a free listing on ebay first as I have nothing to lose and might actually make a sale. If that fails, off to the charity shop/freecycle it goes.

There's one lady on my local board who is constantly asking for baby/children's stuff. I know because she collected some things from me 18 months ago and I have seen her asking for more of the same / similar almost constantly since. I'm fairly convinced she must sell the stuff on somewhere. Personally, I don't care what someone does with it if I am offering (if I can't be bothered to sell it, happy to let someone else give it a go) but it's a bit cheeky when they are asking for it.

there was a post recently on my local site asking for any pc spares as the guy was building a cheap pc for an elderly relative.

i offered an spare case i had knocking about. the guy emailed back asking if there was any warranty with it and said that it has to be in "as new" condition.

needless to say i told him it was no longer available.

I got a nice CRT telly with a built in DVD for my mate last night from a freecycler. He is chuffed to bits with it.
