That post would have never made it to the group on mine.
Excessive wanters are all moderated, because their wanteds are excessive and they never offer anything so posts like that don't go out and pee off those that do offer.
The poster must be on an imod run site.0 -
Unbelievable. I think the lesson there is, if you tras your expensive, overpriced piece if kit, you might be better off waiting until you either a) afford to throw your money away or b) look after your stuff better, before buying a new phone.
I have seen a few ads on my local for specific things. i.e. must be a maxi cosi car seat, or must be a Sony TV... I always wonder if anyone actually replies to them? even if only to tell them to get real."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
Offered a near on brand new large rug from next neutral colours. Offered it to a chap who was dead keen. I listed on behalf of my sister who is a bit of a skin flint - will not phone mobile numbers ever. A chap requested it was desperate so i gave him my sisters number to call (home number) at 6.30pm at night. He must have waited til the morning to call (10am) arent most of us at work this time ? He left a message to say could you call me back on my mobile !! Needless to say my sister wouldnt call him as this would cost her money to get the item taken away. So he didnt call back and item still with her. I then contacted another person on the list who was actually a relative of ours through marriage and whom we briefly know of. So I thought great this would be good. Lost the email so contacted her on facebook got into a lengthy chat with her all about the family etc etc. and she said she would call that evening to pick the rug up. Guess what she never called !!!!! Sister was in all night. Left it a few days and contacted this woman again saying can you please call my sister if you want this rug. Said oh I forgot i will ring today at 9.30am (so i had to say sorry sister at work).
Now do people nowadays have home phones cause i know all my friends and family do. Why do people insist in you calling them on their mobiles (not everyone has contracted free mins) . Again this is a experience I am thinking puts me off even more offering items.
I did actually put in the post no time wasters please, no messing around pick up urgently and no we wont call mobile phones !!!
Sorry rant over I personally have not offered any items lately as fed up with the mucking about waiting it, no shows, lateness and general rudeness in requesting.

Had to post this one for you....
TO BORROW PLEASE! Artist needs fridge and freezer.
This sounds a little weird, and I'm really not an axe murderer.... but I am
making body parts out of meat for a press launch of a zombie computer game. I
need to make loads of them, so I wonder if anyone out there could lend me a
fridge and/or freezer until the 29th September.
I would really appreciate it, if anyone is able to help! There will be a
complimentary meat hand for anyone who can!
Thanks a lot0 -

I have a home phone but I always give my mobile number as I'm very rarely in. I think in this day and age, people are generally more busy and always tend to have their mobiles on them all the time.
Chances are that if you rang my home phone, no one would be in unless it was after 7 most nights!0 -

I don't have a landline phone.
Ok that's not technically true. I pay line rental (as have broadband) but the line is terrible (needs fixing) and you cannot hear anyone for crackle if you use a landline phone.
+ my mobile I can put on silent/ take off silent really easily so I don't get interrupted mid film etc.
I don't mind texting people but I WON'T phone them. Again this is not just a cost element but with 2 very loud toddlers around when I am at home and obvious work noises when I am at work it just isn't possible.Had to post this one for you....

I'd reoffer the rug and she can swing for it. If nobody comes for it this time, take it to the charity shop instead."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0
