7 separate requests for the same family on local freegle - do they think we won't notice if they list them separately!

Urgently needed working washing machine.....

working cooker urgently needed for a family

Wardrobes required for a family

double bed required for a family

3 peice suite required for a family

working microwave required for a family

table and chairs required for a family

I haven't seen a request yet for bunk beds, so I guess the whole family will be sleeping in the double bed - hehe

I'm sure that he'll remember his manners when he's offered one.
has anyone got a car sat doing nothing iam single dad with 4 kids and
mine has gave up so urgent to get kids school ect
The schools in the town where he lives are all central & you can walk from the outskirts to the schools in 20-25 minutes maximum, even with little legs.

Ive just put a patio set and first reply goes like this "yes please have just done a patio ". Theres no politeness about it, think ill wait for other replies.

There is somebody on my local free cycle who responds to everything I put on (I reckon a car booter or eBay seller) and she always just replies with "yes please"
I know there is a please in there but would it really be so hard write a better reply! maybe she just copies and pastes yes please as a reply to every offered ad ;)

Yes I think some people have just a standard reply that they reply to everything - then consider which ones are worth collecting. When I have advertised lots of thing its not unusual to get the exact same reply for all of them. They are usually generic not mentioning a specific item - I also notice that these people often do not reply if offered, or worse don't even turn up. I now only offer to people that actually mention the item I have advertised.

I've just offered something (a first for me), I usually just read it with this thread in mind. Had about 10 requests, all mentioning the item and not a 'please' amongst them, (there were 2 thankyous but I've chosen purely on liking their name.)

Have noticed that out of all the posts on my local one, only 3 are offers and two of those are either offering a service or complaining about people offering a service.
• OHHH I am soo cross!!

Someone posted a wanted - i replied saying i had what they wanted if they hadn't got one. They said yes please when's best. Explained tomorrow and gave her 2 time slots (basically morning or afternoon before 8pm)

She then told me she couldn't tell me until tomorow what time it would be (if at all) as she didn't know hew plans for the day until she woke up. Oh but if i go out can i text her when i get home so she can let me know if that is convienient?

Neadless to say I am no longer prepared to arrange for her to have the item.

WHY or WHY do people want you to work around them!!!???!!!!

(sorry rant over).

Know where you're coming from. Some people sound so genuine on first contact then swiftly turn into self-absorbed harpies as soon as you offer to help. Lost count of the number of times I've offered something, selected a recipient, asked them to phone me and got the reply "can you phone me on my mobile cos I've run out of credit". Sheesh!!
