WANTED: desktop pc ( complete )
Description : If anyonw wants to get rid of a full pc system , il take it off your hands asap

    Most generous of them!

To be fair I have a PC I'd like to get rid of (even for free). Only the fact that I wouldn't want to give away my hard drive with personal info on it stops me from doing so.

People requesting laptops in GOOD WORKING ORDER, do amuse me though.

if you can't afford a pet why buy one??

    and breatheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I know! The "I have just bought a puppy/kitten, but can't afford to buy anything for it" posts are sadly quite common on my freecycle group.

The Freecycle post that annoyed me this week is the woman who asked for a sewing machine, fabric, threads, patterns, accessories etc. Well, actually that post didn't annoy me, it's the one she posted later. It said, "I have now been given a sewing machine, but no one has offered any fabric so I can't learn to sew" along with another plea for fabric, ribbons, buttons, sequins etc. I had to restrain myself from emailing her and pointing out that most people learn to sew by cutting up old sheets/clothes/tea towels or getting some remnants from the charity shop. I have seen a lot of posts like this where people think they need to have every material and gadget available to start a new hobby. I don't think it's down to greed actually, I think it's just some people have absolutely no imagination and don't know how to improvise and make-do.

Gawd - I offered some stuff start of January/end December. Posted takens on the stuff that went - get an email just now "Hi I'm interested in X, please send your address so I can collect it please."

Hate people assuming and demanding anyway (the give me your address bit) - and it went at new year!

On the other hand I once asked politely for something which I had seen Freecycle that day and got a very patronising email from the giver saying it had gone and the taken post was on the site why was I wasting his time sending him emails. I kindly pointed out that as my email was posted before the post appeared on site (as it was a moderated site) and due to my crystal ball being away for repairs I unfortunately had wasted his time which would be better spent learning some social and communications skills.

    WHY???

Why not? I make my own writing ink amongst other things and actually a bunsen burner would be very useful! I use the gas hob at the moment :D
