so if that was true the police would have had him for having sex with a minor they dont think that it is true hence why they dropped the charges
my dad when my sister was 15-16 used to think every guy she hung round with shed slept with she hadnt its just a thing dads think it doesent mean its true
How could the police 'drop the charges' if no charges were brought????
It really just proves what a good job he did of grooming the older girl that she wouldn't tell the plice about their 'relationship'
If you really can't see what is wrong with a 60-64yo near pensioner having sex with a 14 or 15yo child I feel very sorry for your own children. I would like to see if you would still hold the same views if were your own daughters.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
while I think its disgusting that a 19 year old is going out with a 64 year old, has the man made any sort of advances on the 14yo? or is it just that he and his girlfriend are going on holiday and thought it would be a nice gesture to take 14yo?0

what an earth could they have in common!0

I don't condone that the 60 year old had sex with a minor, if he was grooming then he will now be interested in the 14 year old and dump the older sister, and he would of happily waited the 4 years to do so.
But then again, not condoning that this man had sex with a minor, and she did consent, hopefully they are now in a happy relationship and want to take sister on holiday as a treat, but.. isn't she being taken out of school for this?
the mother does have a lot to answer for,0 -
My friend went out with and older man when she was 14, he said he was 27 but looking back now he was much older, he went to prison when it all came out, she met him when he worked in a childrens play centre (the ones they used to have in supermarkets for kids to play in whilst parents did their shopping.)
It is soo wrong him taking these 2 young girls on holiday, OP have you met him or spoke to him whilst he has been with your older daughter? what does he have to say for himself?
I would of thought the 19yo would of grown out of the relationship by now, she must be well and truly brainwashed.
and, I am seriously shocked at the mother.0 -
I have 2 daughters with an ex,the eldest has always been trouble and when she was 15 went with a 60 years dirty old man.I got the police involved but she wouldn't speak up and the police did nothing, she is now 19 and still with this dirty old man.My youngest aged 14 was allowed by the mother against my wishes to stop over at there flat and i went ballistic.I found out the eldest and !!!!! was going to cyprus and wanted to take the youngest with them,i warned the mother not to let her go and told the youngest to keep away from him, guess what, she has let her go on holiday with them,i am disgusted with the mother, she has put the youngest in a dangerous position and am scared what he might do.Do i have any rights, legally and morally to have this man arrested when they return,i don't want her anywhere near him.
I wonder just what the OP did back when daughter 1 was having sex and living with a 60 year old man and she was 15. Not a lot by the looks of it.
By the way, his being 20 or 60 is immaterial, he is a sex offender.
Move forward and the Op has allowed his other daughter to grow up with a mother who allowed the first daughter to be abused by a sex offender. Why on earth did he allow that ? Were social services informed then ? Daughter 2 was at risk from that point, not just from now.
Do we presume by the tenses used by the OP that both daughters are in Cyprus as we speak (or write) ? If so, I would inform social services now and move to have the child removed from the mother. I would press the authorities to make contact in Cyprus and / or certainly be there when they return and bring this man in for questioning. At least get it on record.
I am a father and I wonder just what this father, the OP has been doing all these years when both his daughters have been left with a (to the family) known sex offender and abuser whilst their "mother" looks on !
If I knew who you were, I would inform the authorities myself.0 -
If the police would not act in the first instance what do you expect me to do,it's easy to play the blame game, constructive criticism is ok,blaming the concerned parent is not.0
-
David, is it the case then that you infomred the police at the time whe your older child was being groomed by him, but they were not interested in pursuing it? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Yes that is the case, they came to the house but the eldest wouldn't tell the police they had slept together even though she admitted it to us0

What an awful situation OP, I really feel for you. It is not important how old the man is, he is over 18 and groomed a child. He now is being allowed access to another child when he should be on the sex offenders register.
Do the police really not do anything to prevent grooming, does the !!!!! actually have to have sex with teh minor and the minor admit it to the police? This man needs to be stopped. I assume that the child abuse liasion officer or whatever their name is was contacted when the older DD had issues and social services. I would be contacting allsorts to get this stopped.
Personally I would contact the NSPCC and find out what can be done, this man is a !!!!! and needs to be stopped.
You say that the police did not act previously because the DD would not admit sex to them, that is appalling and I would not have stopped there, is that not grounds for a police complaint. Seriously contact the NSPCC and tell them everything.0
