Yes that's the impression I got and also that the man had known both girls all their lives. He was a friend of the girls' grandparents......imagine your dad's pal together with your daughter.......not a palatable thought.

I know my mum is 60 as she had a 60th birthday a few years back, but I'd have to work out exactly how old she was precisely if questioned about her exact age.

I think the OP has every right to be furious, he has seen his eldest daughter go off with a 60 year old man, and now his 14 year old daughter is going on holiday with them. I would imagine his biggest fear is that the 60+ man has designs on his 14 year old - maybe the old bloke only likes young teenagers?:eek:

And the 14 year old's mother is wrong to allow this holiday, what is she thinking?

OP - if you think your ex is putting the younger daughter at risk by allowing her to go on the trip with this man then perhaps involving social services would be an option.

If this man is grooming her then one day in the future she might like to know that you did everything possible (legally) to prevent this from happening. She certainly won't thank her mother for this "freedom" when she is older and wiser.

i THINK social services must be involved, or at the very least advised of your concerns, especially if you believe that the 14yo is a child in need of protection ( has the trip actually taken place)

PR is important, there is the option of the prohibited steps order, although I am not sure this will definately apply, maybe someone else can help with that or alternative orders that might be of use to you.

Thanks for the advice,they are in cyprus now,i am worried about the youngest,i can't believe the mother let her go after what he did.The eldest admitted they had sexual relations at 15 years old but wouldn't tell the police,for the idiots who are more concerned about the perverts age now and then he was 60 four years ago and 64 now.The main issue is he has taken a 14 year old girl to a different country after sleeping with her sister at 15.When i found out and rang the mother i was astonished by her reasons,she said she doesn't see him as a pervert and the daughter sees him as a grandad figure,since when did people sleep with there grandparents.The whole thing is sick beyond belief.

so if that was true the police would have had him for having sex with a minor they dont think that it is true hence why they dropped the charges

my dad when my sister was 15-16 used to think every guy she hung round with shed slept with she hadnt its just a thing dads think it doesent mean its true

Read the posts,the police couldn't act because she wouldn't speak up,even though she admitted it to us.
