All cheaper laser printers are mono. Colour laser printers are available but cost about £250 for a VERY slow one. Expect £350 for anythng decent - and most of them have FOUR cartridges to replace . . .
I'd stick to inkjets for low volume colour -although these too are expensive to run unless you refill cartridges and all that palaver.0 -

We have several of these in the workshops for printing job sheets. They are cheap and cheerful as everyone has stated. The Comet deal is typical of the price you can get them for if you shop around though.
Text quality is poor comapred with an expensive laser printer and I have seen better text from some ink jets. first page print time is slooow while the thing warms up.
Not sure if this is the model thats USB only, their is a version with an LPT port - but gives lots of trouble with XP - USB is fine though - most odd.
Finally as some have already mentioned, it is shipped with a very lightweight toner cartridge which includes the drum/roller assy. It can cost more than the initial price of the printer to replace, expect less than 1,000 sheets from the included cartridge. Some people appear to be happy with the quality of the refill kits you can purchase - never tried one myself.0 -

It's a lovely little printer. Rather quiet too, and resonably fast. We bought it for work (accounts department) several months ago. I think we got a discount on it, we got it for about £32 from Microdirect (they don't stock it anymore).
It came with a toner cartridge for 1000 pages (normal one is for about 3000). It also has a save toner function that reduces toner consumption, so cartridges can last for longer.
I was very tempted to buy one myself at the time, but as I have 3 inkjets and an old laser, could not see the point.
The girls in the accounts department liked it so much, one of them had a dream about buying one!
