Sorry, feel the need for a bit of a rant!
I have noticed that less and less car drivers are using their indicators these days, especially on roundabouts, which makes life difficult when joining the roundabout.
Quite often even when they do use their indicators, they don't do what they are indicating.
Also, people don't turn their indicators off, which can be very confusing.
Ok rant over!

Best to treat all signals etc given by another vehicle as meaning "I am here" You won't go far wrong then. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Lol i was going to start a similar thread when i got back from a weekend away with my sister..it annoys the living daylights out of me tbh and i find it very dangerous. Thick people who can't push a tiny stick up or down shouldn't be allowed to drive..simple! Rant over!0

I hate people like that! Also the ones who turn into the junction THEN indicate! Why? You need to show where you plan to go so people can react.
Not going to start on those who cannot drive any faster than 10mph slower than the limit or I could be here all day!:mad:Failing in my savings journey!

Another of my pet hates too. I am constantly amazed at the number of limp wristed drivers out there that can't even do other drivers the courtesy of signalling their intentions. Roundabouts are bad. Quite often you can sit there waiting for a car to pass, only to have it turn off before it reaches you.
A few years ago, I remember reading a rant in a newspaper about the two second blink motorists were giving when they changed lanes on a motorway. Sadly, these days, apart from a dwindling minority of considerate motorists, indicating when changing lanes on a motorway seems to have died out all together.
In the USA they seem to take changing lanes without indicating much more seriously and the police will hand out tickets for doing so at the drop of a hat.0 -
Sadly people who don't use their indicators also seem to forget they have mirrors too and are oblivous to all roadusers - nothing worse than seeing a Micra on roundabouts with either a kindly old gentleman with a flat cap or a terrified looking 20 something woman with her chest and chin firmly against the steering wheel as the seat is so far forward she can't comfortably get to indicator stalk - it fills me with fear and dread as you just know they will cut you up by going from the left hand lane all the way over to a junction on the right and they always appear so shocked when people beep at them (maybe they haven't been able to find the horn as well as their indicators yet eh?). Ah another rant over - feel so much better LOL:j:T Total Prize Value 2012 - £1835 :T:j

The reason for the situation being that it isn't an offence here not to signal a lane change, like it is in Spain and the USA. I don't think there's any need for it to be, half the time there's no need to signal, but when there is it can be very disruptive at the very least not to.0 -

Ah yes,my pet hates too! Or those who brake & then indicate..even worse are those that sit at a junction while the traffic lights are red,let a queue of traffic build up behind them, move off whan the light goes green & then indicate!! Which then causes confusion & hysteria as those stuck behind them try & move into the moving lane!!0 -
It's those new Audis, I don't think they put indicator stalks in them.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep
& Choo Choo for trains!!0
