No, it's not a sanitary towel!!! Hope I don't have to spell it out but it's what is meant to be in a toilet and it should be able to dissolve. Do you know what it is yet? (a la Rolf)

    IT'S A BIG POOOOO... ahhhh!

We're all human, even though our poops seem rather large sometimes.

I agree with a previous poster, blame it on OH should you call plumber out.. lol

    Good luck !

    Okay Tara,

This is what i do, get a scarf over over your nose, a bucket in your hand and carrier /black bag over hand and arm. Shot your arm down and the loo, have a rummage and low and behold within a couple of mins , the blockage is moved and the water gushes away.

My partners a plumber and trust they have seen it all before.

My toilets get blocked all the time as have very old victorian drains, so if one house toilet is blocked half the street is. This happens at least once a week to me, so i just do the above and voila clean loo.

I have no answers for you I'm afraid but just my OH has managed to block the toilet in every house we have lived in and once at my mums too. Whats worse is my 5 year old daughter can also block it on a regular basis, what can I say she has bowels like her dad. Therefore I tell him its his fault and his job to deal with it, after all he is the one with the experience in this area. My OH has a serious dislike for water saving toilets. So I can only sympathise with you, hope its sorted soon x

If you've got an old water pipe off a washing machine, they're great for just pushing down until they hit the blockage. Anything similar really, flexible but with a bit of strength to it should do the trick!

And don't eat so much bran ;):D

Really surprised that noone has mentioned the old gem of:
    • Get rid of as much water in the bowl as possible (if in excess of "normal" - use an empty margarine tub or s'thing)
    • Fill a bucket with water, stand on a chair & pour the water pretty fast from a height - gravity will "push" anything that's pushable along the pipe :)
Has worked many times on many types of toilet :)

Can I suggest a little more roughage in your diet......

An apple a day keeps the plumber away..

Be very careful with Caustic Soda, you don't want splashes

Things to try now we know it's a MASSIVE STINKY POO......I take it, it was followed by toilet paper?

    1. Hot Water... at least 2 or 3 buckets...poured slowly, to soften.
    2. Bleach... a whole big bottle of it, leave it in for a good few hours, this melts skin, so should melt POO

    3. http://www.wickes.co.uk/Drain-And-Gutter-Cleaning-Kit/invt/420003
or ask around, see if anyone you know has one of these drain cleaning kit. I have one, they work real good. Cheaper than a plumber! and that is all he'll do
