I haven`t received any notification either despite being assured on the phone last week that I would be informed before the price rise took effect today.
(more lies from Pgen staff,I think they make it up as they go along)
I put my readings in yesterday and I`m also in the process of switching to EBICo.

Whenever you do get your letter, you have 14 days to tell them you`re switching and then they hold you at the old price.

which is another lie from them.
What they actually do is bill you at the new prices and then give you a "rebate".
So anyone thinking of switching, scrutinise your rebate to make sure it right.(which I doubt)

I received my letter about the price increases on 5th September. I have contacted Powergen to say that as I was not given the opportunity to provide a meter reading on 21st August, I trust the usage will be pro-rata up to that point. I will let you know how I get on.

On another note, whilst looking into this I have discovered that they never actually transferred my gas, despite sending me letters referring to it. So I'm still paying NPower for the gas and Powergen for the Elec which jeopardises my Dual Fuel discount! So that's another fight on my hands!

Actually, looking closer... the letter refers to the gas price increases - which they're not even supplying me with. How confusing! Haven't received anything regarding electricity but am paying Energy Online rates so have submitted a reading tonight which might be in time.

To Answer that one get a reading in as soon as possible - They will estimate usage upto the 21st August the sooner you get a reading in the more accurate it will be.

If your on Energy online my advice is to submit readings today - as your prices would have been affected yesterday.
