I don't know what you are typing in to these sites, or what region you are in, but all of them(the 2 above and Uswitch) bring up Atlantic at the top when I type my details in

Atlantic is not available in every region.

Yes..thats 4 months ago....The quote above wasn't by me...its taken from the Energyhelpline site.........Are you saying that the playing field isn't level.....and Atlantic may raise their prices again.........but that's possibly why they are coming out top....

EXACTLY, and after they`ve roped enough punters in,they`ll put the price up.
Then yet again the switching sites will find another supplier to push.
They make money no matter who is supposed to be cheaper.

They may not supply in your area. Have a look at
    this thread

Ok so on Atlantics website they have a price finder, I entered my post code and they told me their prices for my postcode area, for gas and elec. This is all a little odd.

They don't have Ebico on their drop down box for supplier. They also don't have a kwh useage box (which is the simplest comparison method) so my comparison is not going to be accurate.

They appear to be more expensive for elec, and cheaper by 40 quid for gas (unknown if that includes a 13 month rebate), not worth changing for theat uncertainty and paltry saving which will be wiped out when they raise their prices.

And their tariff structure is just so complicated! Not for me.

But I think I'll email them to let them know that the price comparison sites don't list them for this postcode.

Ebico is sometimes listed as Equipower and Equigas(I think I've spelt them correctly).....

British gas "green" tarrif came top for my dual fuel which interests me greatly.

How easy / difficult is it to swap? Whats the process?

How acurate are the online comparisons? I don't really know what my bills are normally as only been in my 9 year old terraced 3 bedroom for 2 months and not had a bill.

I just went to energyhelpline.com, ticked the "i don't know my usage" boxes and then used the simple estimator to say my usage was low (i hope so) and it said I could save £100+

And on a green friendly tarriff I would be very happy!!!

Did you do anything about this re British Gas.......This tarrif comes out about 6th in the chart for me, but the ones above it (Atlantic, Southern, Scottish Hydro and a couple of others) last increased their prices 4 months ago in May...so could be due for another rise. British gas however have just increased theirs. At £100 quoted saving, I might just settle for that, rather than better savings which look as though they could be shortlived. I am in the Northern region where my secondary electric price has just risen 46% with Powergen Online.

No, not done anything yet, too nervous about swapping in case whoever I swap to messes me about or ups their rates!!!

Was going to post back here today anyway, got the letter from Powergen this morning to give me advance warning that they are putting up my rates as from 21st August ?!?!?!?

Surely that is very bad practice (bordering of fraud) to onloy notify me now a week after they have upped the prices which a) doesn't give me chance to switch to someone else before the rises and b) doesn't give me chance to take readings before the increase! Any thoughts?!??

Which actual tarrif are you using, as Powergen online dual fuel prices aren't due to rise until 6th Sept......I wrote to them, asking them to justify my 46% rise and their answer was..........."I would suggest that you shop around to try and find the best prices suited to you".......SHOCKING
