According to the benefit calculator I just used, there would be an increase in HB and CTB. Obviously benefit calculators can be wrong!
Why won't the OP pay CT? I work 16hrs a week, have a 3 year old and pay the majority of my council tax. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

Sorry, I forgot the Op was working and not on IS.
The LHA amount is the same for a couple as for a single person which is what I meant - sorry, we seem to have been at cross purposes.0 -

No worries. I don't exactly trust benefit calculators anyway lol. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Look at the big picture first and know all the facts before casting your opinions!
I am indeed looking at the big picture. What do I see?
I see someone who has relied on benefits most of her adult life. Who would rather the state pay for her child(ren) (rather than the absent father), and can't see anything wrong with the arrangement.
Someone who wants their bf living with them, but without the reduction in single parent benefit. All the benefits, but no obligations. Let the state pick up the tab. People like you make the hard working people despair.0 -
Ok this is the other half, on his actual account as some of you "know it alls" feel its acceptable to be-little my other half when she was trying to find out the information we needed to as they say "go Legal". 1st) My post about redecorating the flat was an, 'in a nutshell' post, why go into details about me not living there due to the financial implications on my partner, it would of been pointless, people there are there to give advise about subjects they know, they dont want your life story. I was and still am trying my best to get the flat decorated in preperation for the baby. 2) The post about my TV got a few of you piped up, as you feel I shouldnt own one for the record but not that its anyone elses business, this was owned by my before i met my partner, it was purchased as a joint xmas and bday present. Again nothing to really do with this post, I have began to think about fitting things in prior to us once again "Goin Legal". 3) The post about my job is also legit, I did loose my job and am still getting advise about whether I have a case for unfair dismissal, once again nothing to do with those people who feel the need pull up information I have requested. Would you like to sift through the technical help I have offered people "just for the hell of it". For the record my Parther DOES pay Tax, has NOT relied on benefits all her life, is a bloody good mother and always puts her kid first. Dont make assumptions know the facts first! Once again as she said if you have nothing to give that is of use in this post why bother getting involved. I hope for all you doubters and haters that your circumstances never change and you are left with nothing but to rely on some financial help. I have worked and given money into the "kitty" since I was 16. It was a belittling experience but I was left with no option. It was get help or go through life with not a penny to my name till I found a job. For those passing useful information and wishing the best to the unborn my partner wished to thank you, your a credit to these forums. to all you others trying to play the role of the almighty ones, sitting on your high Throne's giving your pointless and irrelivant views go be a politician because like them your statements help no-one, are empty waste everyone elses time, because obviously you have far to much on your hands. All I can say is well done your harshness has left an emotionally unstable 7 and a half month old pregnant lady, not wanting to use the site ive spoke so highly of and upset. I could plough throught all your old posts and im sure id find what you see as dirt on you but why bother its not in the interest of this post so find someone else to have your power trips with you are not helping anyone, be it me my partner or anyone else who may find themselves in our position and come searching the forums for information. Go find something better to do with your time. Once again thanks to those how have stuck to the topic at hand0

I just noticed this as well how narrow minded are some of you people honestly. How or what gives you the power to deem she has relied on benefits all her adult life??! The state pay child benefit regardless of anything anyone can get it single mother or not you could be Joe Bloggs with no money or Victoria Beckham take this up with the people who run the country !
Let the state pick up the tab, umm she works and I had worked and will once again as soon as I find another Job. There fore she is giving it and simply taking some back So take your opinion and tell someone whos gives a ...
Serious it makes me wonder how I cant get back into work at the moment yet some (but by no means all) of you shallow, ill-informed, think they know it all, people hold down jobs! Dont you think that annoys me in the same way this post has annoyed you, think about it!0 -

Funny that my 5ps aren't good enough for you on here, but they're plenty good enough to support your girlfriend and kids. :think:I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
