Cookies are deleted if you click the logout button.
You can close your browser instread and cookies won't be deleted (unless your browser is configured to delete cookies when you close your browser!)

are you set to delete cookies on closing your browser?0 -
Nothing is done at our end to delete the cookie. Your browser or some other piece of software at your end may be deleting it.are you set to delete cookies on closing your browser?
Using latest Firefox. Accepting cookies and keeping them until they expire. Apparently. :undecided0 -

Yep. I've tried it in Opera, Firefox, IE, Google Chrome and Epiphany so far.
In all cases the cookie that specifies you are using the new style is deleted if you use the logout button/link.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

It still does.
It used to clear most (but not all) cookies under the old style.
Seems like the style preference cookie is one that vBulletin is also now removing on logout.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Any problems remaining?
errr, yeah there is actually
seeing as i take the time to give an immediate and detailed response to martins midnight post, taking me upto 02.30 on a sunday morning after a night boozing and dont even get an acknowledgement of my post even being read, even if it were just by ticking the thanks button i would know for sure it hadnt gone unnoticed, but seeing as some things i mentioned, some of which were liked by others seem not to have been replied or acted upon then i ask you here directly to answer the below points laid out in my OP here that seem not to have changed or been implemented since my post
* Bolding the usernames - this has happened but i mentioned about the "count" to, now neither is bold !
* Thread stats box - you may have shrunk yours since the initial offering, but it is still intrusive to the OP text and highly unecessary at those dimensions, those who would use the additional services being offered on twitter or facebook would recognise what the symbols mean and would do, without the need for it being spelt out for them - so why cant my [liked by others] idea be incorporated
* Subscribed thread button - stil pap but a slight improvement, although along with all the others goto first, last, sticky etc, they remain unchanged and so [like others] still not happy with them and really would just prefer the reinstatement of the whole of the old batch
thanks in advance

Any problems remaining?
The poll bubble on the side bar to the right is still missing. Therefore to find the new poll starting on Monday (usually?) you have to find the discussion threadsouthernscouser wrote: »I love the new design, but I have to change to it everytime I log in. :wall: Does the cookie get deleted automatically when I log out? :undecided
SS on my main pc using Firefox when I close the screen down (not logging out) it too removes the cookie. However using my netbook (FF) the cookie remains and I don't need to keep changing it each time I log in. I think I must have chosen some settings on the new update to remove the cookies each night, my netbook is still running a really old version of FF.0
