Thanks for clarifying that coz I obviously misunderstood the emotional characteristics of Aspies :D

XD Yeah it usually seems to be one way or the other. I know someone with an autistic child who loved hugging and cuddling, when she wanted it, otherwise didn't like being touched. Just enjoy the hugs and kisses now as we know what boys can be like when they get older. o.O

My middle son with aspergers has always loved cuddles, my youngest child with complex autism will only cuddle on his terms and these are rare occurances....I remember the first time he came to me for a cuddle, he was around 8 years old and I was so overwhelmed and happy I cried.....he got scared and it took him months to do it again!

My eldest (non autistic), doesn't like cuddles at all.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It isn't just that he comes and gives me a cuddle though - he doesn't mind being touched (unless I tickle him too much ;)).

My OH isn't the sort of dad to rough and tumble with him whereas (luckily) I am :D
My DS loves being turned upside down, etc.
