I actually have now decided I rather like the user cp where it is
change you know
No definitely not where it is now as it is inconsistent i.e. it's the only heading in the Quick Links dropdown that is a hyperlink.
Much better on the main green bar as it was previously. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Thanks for letting us road test it
Overall I'm liking the cleaner and more up to date look. I think the forum was in dire need of a revamp. Love the idea of being able to customise it in future too (I'm a firefox user I'm used to customising everything!)
I have a few niggles, most have been mentioned I think, but for the sake of adding my weight to the arguments here goes -
1. for the same reason as others have said I don't like the thread statistics box - it's obtrusive and the information can be found elsewhere. The social networking buttons would be better as smaller icons somewhere which I think most people are used to now at the bottom of blog posts etc.
But my main problem with it is that it interferes with copying and pasting a post as a template for another, which I do all the time when posting competitions. I have to preview the post and then delete all the html for the box, which is a pain in the neck.
2. I would like the 'you are subscribed to this thread' icon to be a wee bit bigger and more visible? and I don't really understand what the arrow means, I think the tick makes more sense as an icon.
3. I think the posters name could be slightly bolder, and the people who have thanked the post underneath
4. could you bring back the expired button on the comps board please? Save our poor board guides
5. a very minor one - why is the title of the thread above the resource bar? (at least on the competitions board) I think it would make more sense below it. Maybe it was always like that lol and I've just noticed
Others I think have been covered several times over like the thanks button issue and the signature needing to be separated more.
Also as a yahoo email user I would also appreciate an easier to use abuse reporting system please0 -

It is very easy to use any e-mail provider with the current mailto abuse button. You simply need to configure your chosen e-mail client once and job done! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
The expired button on the comps board seems to have disappeared.
Can it be brought back please as it saved our hard working BGs from manually moving a comp to Game Over if it has expired early?
Thank you!................................... MSE MARTIN LEWIS ... :A ... THANK YOU.......................0 -

oh how do you do that?
For me the link works ok and opens a new email on yahoo, but it always cuts off the post url in the subject, so I have to go back and c+p it in (yeah ok it's not major but slightly pernickety)0 -

I use Yahoo and I don't have any problemsAll you need is the abuse address, which is posted on every page is the resource bar ~ abuse@moneysavingexpert.com. Then you need the link of the thread/post you want to report. To get the former its in your top address bar, to get the latter find the post you want to report, click its post number* and copy the link in the top address bar. Then when you compose the email the subject line should be 'Reporting post' follwed my the link.
* If you use a multi tab browser right click and 'open in new tab'. That way there is now need to deviate from the main thread.
I don't report that many posts/thread I may add because I tend to spot them too late. However when I have had to report them its not at all hard. If it helps keep the forum under control/safe then typing (c&p'ing) a small email does't take that much time0 -

When you make an edit, you can compare and switch over to the one you'd like to keep - that's a clever feature0

On the comps board I really hate the thread statistics at the side of the op, it makes the post look really cluttered.
Apart from that the new look gets a big thumbs up from me. :TA strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0
