Thanks again for all your lovely messages, and I promise to keep you all up to date, EVEN with the morning sickness! I realise now that I have been feeling queasy all week, thought I just had a bug.....doh! (Although to be fair, ds & dh have had a sickness bug, so I wasn't JUST being dense lol).
I think this site has brought me luck as I really thought for various reasons that it would take a long time to conceive this time round. I can't believe it's happened so soon after starting the thread - I thought I might be tempting fate by saying I wanted a baby.
I had my first 'pregnancy moment' today, walking through Ikea lighting department - it was so hot and bright, I went very dizzy and had to grab hubby's arm for support. I'm sure a lot of it was psychological though, as the sickness and dizziness were not really bothering me too much until I saw that little pink line appear.
We had a brief look in the loft today (my god, it's horrible up there....there are HUGE spiders webs!!!) and I think there is still a cot bed, pram, bouncy chair thingy, moses basket and high chair (I say 'I think' because they are all wrapped up in black bags etc, so I hope they are still in good condition underneath). I'm really pleased as I didn't think we'd kept so much (this was in the days before DFW when I wasn't so frugal lol). So we will need a new matress for the moses basket and cot bed, but it means we wont need to spend a fortune on large items that will only last a couple of years.
We told most of our close family yesterday, comments ranged from 'That's fantastic' to 'It's about time'! Cheeky bu66ers!! We're going to tell close friends this week but keep it fairly quiet until I'm a bit further along apart from that. I'm not going to tell anyone at work for a few weeks yet.
It's lovely to have somewhere like this to come for advice, support, or just a good old moan though, and I really appreciate all the messages of support.
Loobyloo, thanks, I may well do that once I know exactly what I still need - it seems silly to buy everything brand new, particularly the things you only need for a few months.
We're having a party later today for ds's 6th birthday - his little face was a picture opening all his presents this morning (he woke up at 6.30am because he was too excited to sleep), but he did ask if I would keep the baby away from his new toys because he didn't want them to get broken hahaha - bless!!
Take care everyone, good luck to all of you who have mentioned trying for a baby, and I'm very sorry if I'm making anyone feel too broody (you can press the 'ignore' button - I wont be offended.
Lots of love, Snaggles xxx"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
