  • Hi Snagglepuss,

I'm in the same boat, DFW but I'm a bit further down the road, I've just found out I'm pregnant.:j:j:j

So if you don't mind I'll steal some of the tips of this thread as it's our first as we need to buy all of the kit.

  • Congrats Snagglepuss!! Great news :D

I will be doing a test in the morning...for peace of mind....don't actually think I'm pregnant.....but been feeling decidedly dodgy for the past month or so, and had put it down to IBS kicking off.....usually only get certain symptoms but I seem to be getting everything in one go...and rather than feeling ok some of the time...I am feeling like crap all of the time! (I read somewhere that IBS symptoms can get worse during pregnancy).

I came off depo injection about 3rd week in July, using condoms since....however...a little bit concerned that I may have been caught out in between....highly unlikely I know......but stranger things have happened....

So now just wait until pregancy testing kits are BOGOF, you can buy them with the money you've saved from smoking, and it'll give you a real incentive to continue to be smoke free.

I have a spare test kit (unused :)) if anyone needs one!! I bought a pack of two but didn't need the second one lol. I was going to go to Poundland for the 2 for £1 ones, but it was too far away and I couldn't wait so I was a naughty girl and splashed out on the Asda ones.

Urrrggghhh I feel queasy today! We went out for lunch to celebrate and there was a gristly piece of chicken in my pasta sauce, only just managed not to throw up onto my plate. Good thing I normally have a strong stomach. :rotfl:

Oooh, let me know how you go on!

And congratulations to you MadDogWoman (I feel a bit rude calling you that lol), when is your baby due? I think I will be due mid-May time, although that's just from our own rough calculations - haven't been to the doctors yet.

May? May? I can't wait that long, I'm all excited for you! :j

Wishing you a trouble free and succesful pregnancy. Congratulations!
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!

None for me....which is what I was expecting really........not sure how I would have reacted if it came back positive!! Still, gives me time to try and lose some weight and get a bit healthier....finish doing up this house...sell it...buy a nice one with a garden....he...he....by the time I get everything done 'before a baby comes along' I'll be too old!!

Met my great nephew last week...6 weeks old now......absolutely gorgeous (I'm not biased honest)....and quiet as anything....until he wants feeding of course:rolleyes:

    Hi Snagglepuss,

Don't worry you're not being rude, I am mad about my dog. I'm due in March I think. I'm going for my dating scan tomorrow.

It's taken us 7.5 years to get here, think of a treatment and I've had it so for it to happen on it's own after being told it never would is a minor miracle. Everyone I've told is absolutely over the moon for us.

Wow, that's incredible, I'm so pleased for you. :T It must have felt as though it would never happen. I bet you were amazed to find you were pregnant! Hope all went well with the scan.

I haven't been to the doctors yet - planning to go next week when I have some time off work. I'm a bit nervous as I had quite a complicated birth/post natal problem last time (couldn't walk at all for weeks, then was on crutches for months), which could happen again, but at least this time I'm prepared for it and there are a few precautions I can take to lessen the likelyhood.

My Mum and Dad have offered to park their caravan on our driveway if I'm the same again so they can help out during the early weeks. :A It's still a bit daunting, but I'm ready, whatever happens!

I was properly sick for the first time yesterday :( - now I feel like I'm properly pregnant hahaha!

On the plus side, I have noticed significant improvement in the cleavage department already!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
