Many congratulations to you too!:D I've heard of that happening quite a lot....strange how your body can just 'kick in' of its own accord after trying everything else! Best wishes;)0 -
Snagglepuss wrote:Thanks, I've put the site in my favourites - will keep an eye out for sales near me!
So have I......and I'm nowhere near even trying yet!...still, doesn't hurt to be prepared...........I should have been in the girl guides:p I just know now that if/when it ever happens, it's just gonna knock me for six......doesn't matter how prepared I try to get...or what I want done before it happens etc0 -
Hello again!
Just a quick note to say I have to change my username, as there are apparently two Snagglepusses (Snagglepi?), and we both have the same avatar too, which is confusing people!
As the other Snagglepuss (or snagglepuss as they are called) registered first, I have to change mine, so I've asked them to change it to Snaggles, which is how I sign off most of my posts anyway. So no, I'm not in disguise, I'm not going undercover, I haven't left the country (I heard that, whoever said 'pity'), I'm still here, I'll just have a slightly different name!
That's it really......no baby news to report....feeling tired and a bit sick but generally enjoying being pregnant so far.....sorry for the rather dull post.....will try harder to come up with something interesting, enlivening and engrossing for next time! :rotfl:

Awwww congratulations. i want one too
but have to wait till next year. i want to get my son through his GCSEs first.
I will have a 16 year difference between my children - wow I must be mad!
Anyway - have you looked on the Mother & Baby Website. Has a great forum, lots of sound advice and the gals on there are uptodate with all pregnancy entitlements and having babies on a budget.

Cheers BambyWamby - blimey, 16 year age gap, I though i had left it a while because my son is 6! Good luck to you though. I'll have a good look at the Mother & Baby website - someone gave me a copy of their magazine this month, and it was good, so I'm sure the website will have some good tips too.
Thanks Zippy, no it wasn't PMT (everyone did try and warn me!) - it really felt like PMT though - even while I saw the result on the little stick I was thinking 'no WAY'!! But I couldnt be happier!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Ginger is supposed to be good for morning sickness. I got some biscuits with ginger pieces in and found they helped - gingernuts/gingersnaps helped too and were cheaper. Just be careful not to eat too many, its a myth that eating for two is OK!7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

Found something fab - Asda ginger cracknels, they're absolutely gorgeous, covered in chocolate, I'm sure they help with the sickness hahaha! :TJust be careful not to eat too many, its a myth that eating for two is OK!

Congratulations snaggles!! been away from MSE for ages so just wading through a few threads and this one intrigued me - and it meant I wasn't kept in suspense for too long! hope everything goes really well for you...
also, thanks for all the tips people - my little (well, she's 21 but she still feels like a baby to me!) sister has just found out she's pregnant and is going to be a single mum but with lots of support from family/friends... the one thing she needs to know is how to do things cheaply and what she does/doesn't actually need to buy so I've already pointed her in this direction and told her to join all the baby clubs!
I'll be watching this thread with interest...:money: 2007 is the year to clear :money:

Will re-iterate what others have said - look into the NCT, they have fabulous nearly new sales plus a support network if you need. Don't know what I would have done without them when my 1st was born.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0
