I really hope all goes well with your treatment Lynz, I will be thinking about you xx

You never know, the sudden rush of pregnancy hormones might ease some of the symptoms you have been suffering - you do hear of it happening.

It's a bit daunting wondering if you can really afford to have a baby (hence starting this thread) but I realised recently that if I looked back in 20 years and realised I had wanted another baby but didn't have one for financial reasons, I would really regret it. So for better of for worse, we're having one - decision made - too late to go back now (not that I want to :)).

We WILL cope financially, and luckily I get reasonable maternity pay from work (oooh, just realised, 6 months off work - hurray!!!!), so with a bit of budgeting/purse string tightening we will manage.

I have another sharesave due in August next year, which will pay off my car loan, so providing I don't run up hugh pregnancy debts, I will then be debt free. So that's my goal - no doubt it wont be as clear cut and perfect as that, but you've got to have a dream lol!

Oh I forgot to say, I had a great idea today as well - me & hubby are going to try and sell as much on ebay as possible over the next few months, and are going to start a 'baby fund' with any profits we make to buy any baby stuff that we need. He is currently looking sorrowfully at a pile of old computer games debating whether he can part with them as I think it's 5p listing day today. So that's the next part of the plan: Sell stuff - make money.

I dont even think they know whats going on, the more I think of it the more I think sod it, let nature make the decision, drs dont really know!

Oh I'm sorry to hear you've been told that - I hope you prove him wrong. I think you're right, nature will make the decision in time. Take care xx

Provided you can live with the fact you may have to abort the pregnancy due to complications, then there is no reason why you shouldn't go for it. You have nothing to lose (except money, sleep, sanity, and your figure) and everything to gain.

IMHO, Doctors know cat-!!!!. Though 8 out of 10 cats who expressed a preference disagreed with that.

So now just wait until pregancy testing kits are BOGOF, you can buy them with the money you've saved from smoking, and it'll give you a real incentive to continue to be smoke free.

How about that then? A win-win-win situation  .

Possibly a further win if it sorts your problems out.

And the extra sex might get rid of undesired weight - another win.

Quick! Somebody think of a down side!
