Funny thing is though I hear some of other peoples experiences and think 'oh god that sounds awful'. I did get a bit of post trauma with DD1 but looking back now though I'm just grateful I didn't need a section so it could have been worse.
So how long have you got before you can't get away with resting a cup of tea on baby bump without it getting spilt then do you reckon?:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
Well, it's a bit odd because I haven't really got a bump yet - I'm dying to have one, it would be great to have somewhere to rest my drink! Hubby had a prod at my stomach when he came in from work to see if he could feel anything, and he couldn't really, so I think I'll be safe to use it as a shelf for a bit yet
.
Now my cleavage on the other hand, I could rest the whole tea-set on! My Mum keeps helpfully telling me I might not be able to breast feed this time round and I shouldn't pin my hopes in it (she has a weird attitude to breast feeding because she could never do it with any of her three). I'm ignoring her though, because last time I could have fed the whole neighbourhood, and this time they're already raring to go!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Lol well my boobs didn't change at all the whole time I was pregnant which peed me right off as I was dying to have bigger ones, but then the day after the girlies being born Wam! someone had strapped a couple of boulders to my chest and yes I too could have fed the neighbourhood!:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0

I remember when I was breast feeding my first, the milk would come out with such a force - I used to think people were joking about it spraying across the room, but I once had to sit in the back of a car to feed him when we were out and about, and I sprayed the front windscreen, much to my embarassment and OH's amusement!
I used to have to sit with a towel under one side, while I fed him from the other, as it used to pour out of them both at once, soaking me & my son!
Oh, how glamorous it was......!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
ha ha, yep same here, you get that funny tingling as it 'lets down' and then it was like a fire hydrant!
I used to sit with a little sterilized tub under the side I wasn't feeding from and freeze the extra to save for making up baby rice/watering (milking?) down those first purees at weaning time but still had more than we could use!!

That's a good idea, can't remember trying to catch the escaping milk and putting it to good use last time, but will try that this time.
It was bizarre when you did eventually go out without your baby for a couple of hours, and your chest would get bigger and bigger in front of your (and everyone elses) eyes! I used to be desperate to go back home to feed him, just to stop myself from feeling like Jordan or Pamela Anderson."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
It's a little while since I updated the thread, so thought I would do a quick catch-up. Hope everyone has had fun over the festive season!
I've been for the anatomy scan today, everything was fine, we decided we would like to know what we are having and.......it's a girl!:grinheart :heartpuls
So we went and did a bit of sales shopping today, and managed to buy some lovely things in Debenhams. We got some gorgeous Little Rocha, Babble Boom and Junior J stuff really cheaply (would never normally buy designer babywear, but these were such a bargain, it would have been rude not to!).
We bought 2 x t-shirts, 1 x pinafore dress/top/tights set (VERY cute), a growbag, a coat and 3 sleepsuits, plus an adorable Duffer St George top for DS to make sure he didn't feel left out, and spent less than £30. Because she is due in May, and the sale stuff is all autumn/winter stuff, I just bought size 3-6 months and size 6-9 months, so by the time she grows into them, it will be winter again (great money saving/sales shopping tip!).
I've only been able to feel the baby kicking for the last couple of weeks, but the kicks are getting stronger and stronger every day. She is really lively just as I'm going to bed (sign of things to come?!?!?), and hubby loves dozing off with his hand on my bump, feeling her wriggling about (bless!)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Oh, we bought a new moses basket mattress too, in Babies R Us - it was only £8.99, they're in the sale, and they had a few different sizes if anyone needs one!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
