Sorry, just had to share that news!!!

And so you should, exciting times ahead and they should be shared and shouted about.

I have one son of 19 months old and often wonder what life was like without him.

    I can't wait for Christmas!

I wish you well and hope you don't have the 22 hours labour that my wfie went through, maybe I should have left that bit out :D.
    Regards,
    Dave

If only I had a pound for every time I used the thanks button :D

Yes, it's lovely, it's so strange that it happens all of a sudden - I've been feeling weird tightening feelings and the odd flutter, but suddenly today there's no doubt about it, it's definitely kicking me. It's moving around a lot too, because some of the kicks are being aimed at my stomach, but some are direct hits on my bladder!!

Not quite sure how this fits in with money saving though....ummmm.....I know, we can stay in prodding the baby to make it move instead of going out to the cinema, lol!

I've been putting off buying anything for the baby up until now, but it's suddenly hitting me that I'm half way there in a few days, and the first half has gone unbelieveably fast. So I'm on a mission now - I need to buy a new mattress for my moses basket. Mothercare have them for £15, so will shop around and see if anywhere has then cheaper. If not, its still cheaper than buying a new moses basket, which are around £30 for a basic one.

Thanks....I think!!_pale_ :rotfl: Oh well, it's got to come out, one way or another!

19 months is a lovely age, they are so adorable, with their little waddly walk and their first few words. Hope you have a lovely Xmas with him.

Thanks Annie, no I didn't know about the Manchester thing - when is it going to be? Would love to get there if I can! How have you been doing recently? I haven't 'bumped into' you online for a bit!

Immoral - poor you, have you been getting a lot of pain? I'm getting SPD I think because there are a lot of strange clicking noises and shooting pains coming from my nether regions (sorry guys!). Had it last time but not until the very end of my pregnancy (but then had it for 12 months afterwards).

Where you early or late with your first? According to my midwife you tend to follow a pattern (I was late with my first) but I'm hoping it's not true! I want this one to be on time, otherwise I'm just going to start pushing lol. My Mum had 3 kids, one late, one early, and one bang on time, so I'm not sure if there's much truth in it.

Not in my experience to be honest, DD1 10 days early DD2 8 days late. I was told by my midwife that the lengths of labours my mother had would indicate what I could expect. Great I thought as Mum had a 5 hr with me (the eldest) and 2 hrs with my sister but sadly that one turned out to be a myth too lol!
    :heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:

    Lol, that's a shame - wouldn't mind a 2 hour labour!!

Was yours very long? (It's okay, you can tell me, I'm resigned to it now lol!)

Well after 23 hrs with DD1 they had to intervene because her heart rate started to drop, was 25 hrs in all. DD2 was 13 hrs which was much better (although more painful but thats another story!) as I didn't suffer the exhaustion that made me ill the first time.

How did you do with DS?

Oh no, that's horrible, poor you. If I'd have gone through that, there wouldn't have been a second baby, that's for sure lol!

Mine was 9 hours, so not too bad really although it was awful at the time. I was induced though, which I've been told is quicker, but a bit more painful (How can they tell??? It's all bloody painful!!!). I think DS would have still been in there now though if they hadn't induced me:).
