Absolutely lol, especially as DD1 (6 and a half) came home from school today declaring she 'doesn't love Nathan anymore because he says he only wants to dance with Hollie at the school disco and she doesn't know why she fell in love with him in the first place'!!! And so it begins......

Have to admit to loving all things girlie now though, its great having their little friends round and all painting our nails with glitter and dancing to Girls Aloud lol! I wasn't really that 'girlie' when I was little and my sister was a total tomboy so think I'm making up for it - that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :D

Maybe I should stop talking now before I tell everyone all my embarrasing secrets! :o Sorry for hijacking your thread too!
    :heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:
  • Wow, that scan is really clear for a first one. I remember my first scan with DS - you could hardly tell what anything was. I suppose that was 13 years ago now, I suppose technology has moved on somewhat.

Glad you're feeling better now. I always read this thread when it has new comments even if I don't post much.

Lol, hijack away Kelinik. My son is 6 too, so I know all about the 'first love' thing! He was inseparable from a little girl all through reception, and their 'relationship' was still going strong up until a few weeks ago. Now he says they've 'split up' , next thing he had a new girlfriend, but today he has announced she 'doesn't want to be his girlfriend any more' :(. Poor little thing! I asked him what a girlfriend was though, and he said 'a best friend - your very very bestest mate'! :A I only hope he always thinks like that, even when he's a man lol!

Chocaholic - thanks, it is pretty clear, I was surprised how much we could see. Yes, I finally seem to be getting over the morning sickness thanks, I'm 14 weeks pregnant now (it's going so quickly  ), so I should now officially be blooming apparently!

We've just had a chinese take-away for tea, I had vegetable chop suey and boiled rice - still fairly plain I know, but after 2 months of plain jacket potatoes, toast and porridge, it tasted fantastic. My stomach is on spin cycle a bit, but I don't feel as though I'm going to be sick - hurray! :T :T

Yes, I couldn't bear to spend all that money on formula when I can make it at home for nothing lol! (with just a smaaall aubergine.... ok, probably no-one remembers that series hahaha!)

I will be breastfeeding right up until the baby has teeth (I know you can teach them not to bite but.......ouch!).

I really enjoyed it with my first - it's an excuse to sit down for 20 minutes or so and do absolutely nothing but bond with your baby. Yes, it does hurt sometimes (they don't tell you that bit at parentcraft classes do they....oh no!), but hubby is going to plant green cabbages in our garden so I have a ready supply of cooling leaves to put in my bra (don't laugh, it really works :D)!

    Hello again!

Well, it's with great relief that I can finally say I think the morning sickness has gone!!!! I had a water infection last week that was extremely painful, but after a course of baby-friendly antibiotics, that also appears to have settled down. And my hair has finally stopped falling out in clumps too!

This must be the bit where I'm supposed to bloom! :rotfl:

So I'm feeling very excited today, because not only am I feeling human again for the first time in months, I'm also going on a mini-holiday (for 3 days).

This afternoon we are getting on a ferry and travelling to Belgium to visit the Xmas markets in Bruges - hurray!

Although I suppose it's not strictly money saving to go on a trip like this, it was organised through work (I work for a very large company lol), and was very cheap, plus we can bring back lots of goodies for Xmas presents.

Normally I would go for the duty free alcohol, or the Belgian chocolate, but I can't have either at the moment - chocolate is one of the few things still making me feel sick - so I'm now racking my brains to think of other Belgian specialities (I'm sure there are plenty).

Hubby is going to buy himself a well-deserved bottle of Jack Daniels - well, he HAS put up with me and my hormones for the last 4 months.

I'm not working today and we don't leave until 2.30pm, so I'm going to have a relaxing day.

I've cleaned the house from top to bottom, the Xmas tree is up (I know, it's a bit early :)) and looking fabulous, the packing is nearly done, so I'm going to have a bath and then just chill out. DS is spending the weekend with his Grandparents (they're picking him up after lunch), and he is off school today because it's a training day, so it will be nice just to spend the morning with him without having to rush round doing other things.

Anyway, can hear DS moving around upstairs, so off to get some breakfast sorted out, hope you all have a lovely weekend!

    Love Snaggles xxx

Sorry to get carried away with excitement, but:

I can feel the baby kicking!!!!!

And not just little kicks, it's either playing football in there or else it's sneaked a trampoline in when I wasn't looking! :rotfl:

Sorry, just had to share that news!!!
