• yes - to be used in small quantities. I really like it - have a nibble and see what you think.

its packed with iodine so you dont want to eat boat loads at once just enough to give a boost to your iodine intake of which most of us seem to be lacking in our diets due to deleted iiodine levels in our British veg!!

• I bought gunko/ginko peas one day thinking that they would get used and I have not got a scooby what to do with them!

The other thing we have in the cupboard is 2 tins of god awful tina in mango sauce stuff, DH bought 3 tins thinking it sounded great, and it tasted like death, they've been lurking in the cupboard since, they'll make their way to the bin eventually!
• i did have some tinned salmon to makes some fishcakes with but then i realised i HATE the smell of tinned fish....but good old harvest festival helped me to get rid of that and i'm sure some old lady would much prefer it to me!!!
Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts

Hi all,

Can I remind you that arranging to exchange, swap, or barter items is against the forum rules. I'll quote below for you...
EXCHANGING PERSONAL DETAILS

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

and I too have a packet of dried trifle mix - but some funny onion has used the packet of custard out of it - I can guess which one as i have only one son with a sweet tooth. Its probably about 3 years out of date though.

We're swapping ideas Squeaky ;):)

Mikey, the moss pudding might refer to Irish Moss which is the name for a kind of seaweed called carrageen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_moss

You often see carrageenan listed in ingredients on vegetarian foods as it can be used as a veggie gelatine ;)

Hello Squeaky - that was my immediate thought too, but I think what mikey is doing is a kind of 'virtual' swopsie :)

Good thing too - I was thinking that it could get expensive packaging up all my tinned beans and sending them off to someone!!! ;)

I bought some Irish Carrageen Moss earlier this year when I went to Covent Garden for their St Patty's Day Irish Market. Although the Irish lady I so proudly boasted of my purchase to responded with "YUK!" :rotfl:
