A jar of apple sauce (not sure why we bought it  - I eat pork but don't like fruit/meat combos so never touch apple sauce, and hubby doesn't eat pork, so can't quite work out how or why it made it into our trolley in the first place!!). Its still in date until Oct 06 so will try and think of something to turn it into in the next month or so...:o

The other thing that lingers in our cupboards is tinned fruit (I always like the idea of buying mandarins/pineapple/pears in their own juice - much prefer them to fresh fruit as am not a big fresh fruit fan - prefer raw vegetables!!). However, it always seems like a great idea when I am shopping but once they reach the cupboard I never bother to get them out and eat them...too busy munching on raw carrots/cauliflower/cabbage!!:p

  • we've got so many packets of dried pasta meals from Download festival last year - they will NEVER get used!

I HATE processed food now _pale_

  • I found a small jar of sandwich meat paste - I think I must have bought it when I was trying to create a bit of variety in the kids' lunch boxes. The colour of it alone makes me shudder. The kids are definitely safe - Iwon't be able to look inside the jar, let alone spread it on bread.

I gave up jogging for health reasons; my thighs rubbed together and my knickers caught fire!

I have tons of lasagne sheets that I got super cheap. Love lasagne but I've made loads and have only opened box 1 of 3 - limit to how many lasagnes we're gonna get through in the next 10 yrs lol! :rotfl:

you can snap the sheets into bits and use as a rustic looking pasta bake, it doesnt have to be neatly layered. I think i saw this on sat kitchen once and looked yum :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...

Apple sauce is yummy on its own, or spooned over/into yogurt/icecream. You can also use it in baking, which has the bonus of reducing the amount of butter you need to use.

Thanks Frugalfairy and Liz545 for the applesauce suggestions.:A We both like muffins, and it hadn't even occurred to me to use it up in its own right with ice cream or yoghurt, or to use it in baking!

I'm not very imaginative really, am I?!:o
