Sorry squeaky, its not a suggestion to send each other your unwanted goods, only to suggest how they might be used. All in the name of moneysaving...eh!
Your absolutely right thriftlady, I hadn't spotted that it was for Irish Moss, I assumed Welsh Moss would do the same thing.....:rotfl:I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -
So I see.
Still, given the title, I don't think it hurts to remind people that swapping ideas is fine and that posts should not move on to swapping the items themselves.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Lucie wrote:Like Sarahsaver, I'm a ground coffee only kind of girl, but have a jar of instant for my Mum & MiL; it's been there about 2 years & not even half way down!
There's also a tub of bisto chip shop style curry sauce granules& a jar of ready made beef in ale casserole sauce lurking in the back of my cupboard that surely must be out of date by now. Heaven knows how they got in there?
Me too!!
I went through a really self-created diet ( basically, eating NOTHING containing fat at all) after a summer working in a bakery where I piled on the pounds many years ago. This instant curry sauce was a lifesaver I used to have it with sliced mushrooms onions & frozen peas & rice. ( i was a student then BTW) I bought my one on a whim about a year ago
Thinking about it now, I bet the sauce itself is crammed with transfats and nasties! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

One unopened box of crispbreads,BBE 10.06.Have no idea why I bought them or even when I bought them? I think I`ll stick them on freecycle and some poor devil can feast upon them.
I did browse through one of my cupboards the other day and found half a tub of bicarb with the BBE 04.02!!! I only had my new kitchen put in 2 years ago, just goes to show I never looked at the date just chucked it back in the cupboard.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
