I don't think I've got anything at the moment. I've only got one small cupboard for the food in the kitchen so I tend to only buy what I need. I did have a load of jars of different spices in the cupboard for about 4 years but when I had to get rid of one of the kitchen cupboards I got rid of them.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

A tub of spirulina (sp) algae powder:eek: bought when I was on a health kick a year ago. Was meant to add to fruit smoothies but made one and it looked like swamp slime, drank it and it tasted like swamp slime too:eek:
promptly threw up over kitchen floor and have never used it since:rolleyes:  .Must get around to throwing it out but it was about £14 so hate the thought even though i know it will never be used. Think I will put it on freecycle see if any healthy bods want it.

Oh that made me laugh out loud at my desk.
I have tons of stuff in my cupboards that I know I'm not going to enjoy eating. Whenever I do a big shop I always buy loads of brown rice and yellow split peas etc etc.
However having examined one of my Mums vegetarian recipe book (she isn't vege so don't know why she's got it) there are actually some really nice recipes in there.
I am determined to use everything in my cupboard before I do another shop as I hate throwing food away.
Just look for recipes for stuff that you have any believe me you will be pleasantly suprised at the results.Lydia

Me too! Just ended up throwing them away. Im afraid I recently threw some couscous away too because I had no idea what you did with it or how to cook it!
I have used quinoa but it was in cinnamon and date bread so you couldn't taste it (I have no idea what it tastes like). The bread was lovely though! I intend to make it again, its delicious for breakfast and very filling!0 -
