i just got the welcome pack from PruHealth.
which no is for the gym: Pruhealth ID or Policy no?
i will be activated only tomorrow, so i cant log on online...
  • The terms and conditions say that the offer ends on 30 November, and you need to apply "before" 30 November. So I think it's ended.

But I got in there before it did!!

(I'm new to Money Saving Expert forum and new to Quidco.)

There was a spanner in the works when the red "Get Quote" button on PruHealth's web page didn't work in FireFox! You couldn't click it. (Ironically Quidco recommends FireFox!) Cue Internet Explorer 7 being needed instead....

There was a tense wait for the £115 Quidco credit. Under "My Earnings" of Quidco it didn't say ANYTHING about Tracking or Tracking* or whatever.

And... I regularly refreshed the page... and 32 minutes after I'd received the confirmation e-mail from PruHealth, I'd got £115 Quidco credit!!

Also, a note guys on cancelling exiting gym membership (if you have one):

I looked at my LA Fitness terms, and you have to give them a full months notice defined as follows: contact them before 1st of the month. Then you pay all of that month. That is, "4e) if cancellation notice is recieved by LA Fitness before the 1st day of the month, e.g. on 30th April then membership will end on 31st May."

So sneakily LA Fitness informal idea of one month's notice can formally be as much as a day short of two months if you mess up.

Anyway, I can't wait to cancel LA Fitness (crucially, I am no longer in my 12 month contract with them: it's my 14th month) and defect to the more upmarket (cleaner changing rooms and MUCH later opening hours) Holmes Place! :T

    hello there,

i signed up Pruhealth online succesfully. and wanted to ask you something. can i use gym without a card from Pruhealth? o was in the gym today. and i was offered to use gym immediately, but i couldnt (trainers were at home :) ). and i asked about other times, i was told, i can only use gym with a special card card (not the one from a welcome pack).

    any ideas? :)
  • I phoned pru health the other day - I received my welcome pack, but it had nothing in it about the free gym. Pru health said I definately do have the gym offer (they apparently do not put info about this in the pack), and all I have to do is to take my pruhealth card to Cannons. They will give me a membership number and then I have to call pruhealth to let them know what it is. I think that is all you have to do.
  •:confused: i'm thinking of applying for the pru deal before 12. Anybody know whether there would be any problem if I lied about my age to get a better quote, seeing as I'm interested only in gym membership?
  • Hey,
can anyone just help me clarify whether or not i can attend virgin active gyms wih a holmes place membership through the pruhealth deal. i've asked the people that work at he vigin active gym near me and they say its fine, but when i speak to the call centre for virgin and holmes place, they say that they are unsure. what do i do or can anyone clarify anything. thanx
  • yeah. alternatively u can call cannons, get ur member number then call back pru health and that should be sorted.
  • Hi,
Does it matter if I have another health insurance as long as I don't make a claim to both companies. Pruhealth would only be for the free gym membership. If anyone is in the same situation i would much appreciate your comments. Thanks.

Anyone know how long Vitality Points earned at Holmes Place take to show up on your account?
