Just taken up the Pru offer of 6 month free membership. I did a quote first then went through quidco to retrieve the quote so it was tracked. All seems fine.
Bargain!! £23.92 a month for 6 months saving me £38.09 a month on holmes place membership! I run alot in summer so will probably cancel in June anyhow but works out membership will cost me £8.92 a month for the 6 months taking into account my £115 cashback...woohoo!!
No excuse for not running in the dark or doing no exercise during the winter

so, thats possible to get till end of November?0

hb75 wrote:Yes - I do have to pay the £50 for the "premium Bank club" on top of my pru health premium (about 20). Even with the £50 premium, this is a significant saving, even with my corporate deal and the beauty is if you can cancel your pru health cover it cancels the gym membership so effectively, no gym lock in.
A few days ago, they were saying that because Bank was opening as a Virgin Active club, it wasn't allowed under this deal. They are now allowing Bank club to be used. I'm not sure what the story is for other Virgin Active clubs.I just wonder if they are in breach of their terms though as they mention nothing about excluding the Bank branch from their T&C?

you did that today or last month??
and general question to everyone, when you take up teh offer how long do you have to actually start using the gyms??0 -
Does anyone know if this offer is available if you've already enrolled in this scheme before, i.e. earlier in the year.
I enrolled on the same scheme back in Feb '06, would like to enrol again and take advantage of this offer again. On the terms & conditions it says that its valid for 1st time customers only. Is there a way of getting round this?0 -
I enrolled yesterday - the offer is open still to end of November.
You have to wait for your pack to arrive and first months premium to go out to activate gym membership I believe. You have to activate gym membership by the cut of date of 19 January 2007.0 -

yeah I got a quote first via the pru link in the article and got the reference number then went through quidco and retrieved the quote and completed in through them.
My £115 is showing as tracked!0 -
Yes, it looks like the gym offer is valid on-line again now so you can go through Quidco - valid until 31-11-060
