I'm not getting on so great with mine, I'm on the verge of pulling out due to some major works due on the property which the freeholder wants to charge 25k for. Haven't fully made up my mind yet but 95% certain I'm going to call it all off despite all the money I've spent on solicitors and surveyors etc so far :( Such is the risk with property buying I guess!!

    Congrats to hairdye and goldengirl!!

I just got the initial report back from the surveyor and it's all bad, many major issues so that coupled with the upcoming major works that I'd have to pay £13k for has made it a whole lot easier to make up my mind to pull out. I'll wait to receive the actual report but next week I'll be making the the pulling out call.

In a way a whole load has been taken off my mind with the bad survey report, I had been really unsure if pulling out was the right thing to do with the major works problem, but with the survey I'm 100% sure I'm doing the right thing.

Hopefully I'll be back here some time in the next few months to start off on another purchase

    Good luck everyone!!
