Anyone want to be my house-buying buddy?

Well we moved in on 9th July as expected, so it took just under 2 months from offer accepted to completion. We were FTB's and there was no chain, so relatively painless!
So now we are living in a bulding site as we renovate the house we have bought, which hasn't been worked on since 1970!!!!
Anyway, its nice to finally have a home that we can call ours and put our mark on.
Good luck to all the other buyers out there, I hope it goes well for you all. x :beer:0 -
Hi everyone
Just thought I would give a quick update as I haven't been on here for a while. After completing on 30th June we spent the next two and a bit weeks decorating before the carpets were fitted. We hired a van last week and moved everything over and now we are in the process of unpacking! We are going to move in once our new curtains are ready (word of warning - made-to-measure curtains are VERY expensive!) and hopefully we will have fully unpacked by then.
We also will be without a sofa until September, which is slightly annoying but hopefully will be worth it.
Absolutely love our new house - cannot wait until we have properly moved in. Thanks for all the help and advice, and good luck to everyone else in the process! x0
