Thanks Alared!
I guess I already suspected that, strange how all the bad reports didn't appear when I checked on google before I paid my cash.
Oh well back to the drawing board! Waited a month for BT to disconnect my Broadband only to find NO access now!0 -
Before I went on BB,I was with Fast4 for dial-up.
These have now been taken over by Breathe, who do a dial-up at £7-99 a month "unlimited".
The cheapest for monthly dial-up is Zaggle, who do an account for £5-99 BUT you are limited to sixty hours a month.
Hope this helps.0 -
Am about to sign up for Zaggle as we're having connection problems with Fast4.
Anyone else noticed that the dial up connection number is the same for both Zaggle & Fast4? Namely 0808 991 6234. Is this a Breathe offshoot too?0 -
Yes Breathe own both zaggle and fast40
-
Just to mention as an update Fast4.net is now down to £6.99 a month.0

anyone know when the fast4 price dropped?
i only noticed whren looking at their site for contact details.. still being charged £8.99, so maybe a backdated refund due..?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -

I only noticed last week so I dont think it was much before then.
I sent them a message and they changed it to £6.99 from next payment.0 -
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have any good/bad recent expereince of Fast4.net? I only need it for 4 weeks before my broadband goes live and will be using it primarily for house hunting (visiting RightMove and estate agent sites).
If anyone has some recent experience, I would be grateful.
Many thanks

I was with F4 dial-up for about four years `til I moved to BBand.
They are now owned by Breathenet who also own Zaggle.
F4 are £6-99 a month unlimited and are as good as any for what you require.
Just make sure you can cancel after a month (I think you need to give a month`s notice,so you would be stuck with them for 2 months)
Wouldn`t 1p a minute dial-up be better for you as it`s only for a month?

Checkout namesco's dialup service.
No registration, no commitment, just dial if/when you want.
They're a large/reputable outfit with a good reputation.

All on an 0845 number.
These people quote "Internet access from 1p a minute", so I have no idea what their maximum charge is as this does not seem to be published on their site.:mad:0
