Maybe I am?
But like most things in life, you dont know till you try. I would rather try and fail than not bother and regret it.
I got married and that failed!0 -
I have read the posts and have this to say. Again Just my opinion but Personally I would of thought that the written policy is binding regardless.
At least with a large corporation like Tesco.
I did not know about the refunds until Saturday, how sad is that when I have been shopping at a store that gets up my nose for overcharging for years. I just found the hassle of endless lines too much for a few pence or even a £ overcharge. Not rich and can't afford to be overcharged but time spent in queue's costs my precious time not to mention money.
If we have a contract with a company to do a job and for some reason they have a clause in the small print that we didn't read, tough on us because it was there.
Surely that works both ways??
I agree abuse of a sytem will have it taken away but I wonder if they have that system in place to cover themselves, after all Tesco are the WORST offenders for wrong pricing.. Take that away and how many times will they have advertising standards in. Food for thought??
Whatever, I do think that if they or any company can't communicate then they pay the price. Thats not down to anyone whether thought to be abusing the system or not.. Most people learn a LESSON the hard way, Tesco appear to not learn ever. And now when it might cost a bit more money than normal they are not honouring their own policy!!!!
I have more to say but since I will be taking my sons present back tomorrow I prefer to retain some for the store manager. I will post when I get back whatever the outcome.

As I said earlier I believe people who bought the consoles should be refundedsmart-suits.com wrote:Sorry if you think my determination to get Tesco to own up to thier mistake is a bad thing
I never said it was a bad thing I merely pointed out the ramifications of your possible actionssmart-suits.com wrote:Staff were rude to me but I have to back down because I might ruin it for people that exploit the system?
As I said earlier there is no excuse for rudenesssmart-suits.com wrote:Maybe the reason I did not get the refund I was entitled to was because Tesco know that people exploit the system and I have now been tarred with the same brush? Maybe you ruined it for me?
Maybe I didsmart-suits.com wrote:Do you see me complaining? No! If you exploit the system then fair play to you but please dont kick someone down for fighting for what they are entitled to.
I do see you complaining but you have every right to and I have not "kicked you down", it is just that I do not agree with all you say but that does not make me right, nor you either
Strangely enough if there were clear sides in this then I would be on yours, it is just your methods I disagree withOnly time will tell if I am right or they are wrong0 -

Can we have a thread called 'Cyberfits' please? We can all be as argumentative and unpleasant as we want then.
I enjoy reading some of the personal slurs on people characters, they make me laugh. I have been victim to these as well but unpleasantness and sniping is all part and parcel of being a member of MSE.

If they have already refunded some people, doesn't that mean they will have to refund everybody?
It can hardly be the other way round?0 -

I wish to publicly apologise for comments I left for "MyUserNamesTaken" in earlier posts which were unjustified and have now been edited out (by me).

ok
1st point do you seriously think tesco got to the top by not exploiting loopholes and customers, so fair do- exploit them back. Its called competitive marketing.
2nd point if people shout and scream people take notice, stupid move -i'm gonna take you to court. Now every shop in the country will be on the alert, well done mate you may have closed a loophole that is making people money. Some you win.....sometimes you think!!!!!!
3rd point Mse and other sites are at last enabling consumers collectively to have an effect on organisations that are happy to make a buck from us, this will change the consumer market for the better. To say exploiters of these loopholes are in the wrong is beyond naive it is dam right stupid. Which would you rather a nation of consumer wise folks who do not add to the national credit debt or a bunch of losers who are continuing to drive this country into an unaffordable state.
It's a shame these sites by their very nature are self destructive, the more people who take the advice and bring down somebody’s profits the less opportunities there will be just look at 0% bal transfers on cards you try to find one without a fee for the service now!0
