Hi cooltrikerchic. I think that the above is called fraud. And mcdonag, even going for the refund is borderline as Ok you paid for it but, you've already had the refund in R+R. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Actually, its called theft, but who cares. Dog eat dog, mate. They rip me and my family off, I do everything in my power to rip them off.

If that is not liked, then CONCRETUS EXCRETUS!!!.

I think it's just a pity Tesco don't have a misprice on "chill pills"

I'm sure none of Tesco's customers have a problem with it, the problem lies with local management who, through their complete lack of skills, are choosing to "police" it.

The trouble is that Tesco seem incapable of putting correct shelf edge labels. It's not rocket science, after all, is it. At least on high value items.

Not totally convinced that it's either, to be honest (taking something back for a refund when you've already had a refund under the R7R scheme). After all, they get the product back which they can then sell on to another customer. Thus, the company hasn't been put out of pocket (other than the initial refund which was due to their overchanging and is in line with their policy).

    Any thoughts?
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Actually, you've almost hit it on the head. The reason why management take it so personally, and become so awkard when asked to implement R&R with high value goods especially it seems, is because, I believe every R&R is recorded as a "Loss" against that store.
This loss is recorded electronically, which in turn is fed back to Tesco HQ. Big losses then hit the store "performance", and this reflects badly on ultimately the Store Manager, and management below them. This in turn may mean they miss out on that annual bonus, or extra pay rise?. Who knows.

That would explain why thay are so funny about it, but then surely they should implement the Tesco policy and give the refunds as Tesco HO tell them to and take up the issue with head office about the big losses that are due to HO policy

Precisely. They pay the amount and get the item in question back into stock. The inventory difference is zero. They just buy it back from you, so to say.

They have an inventory loss, of course, but that occurs when you decide to keep the refunded item (that you paid for.)

RnR: Tesco get your money at the till and refund it to you. Difference Zero. They suffer an inventory loss when you keep the product.

Product return: that's a swop, product against money. No inventory loss for Tesco.

Exactly my point, thank you. These managers are using bullyboy tactics to intimidate customers so they back down and dont wait for the R&R. It's wrong, they know its wrong and Head Office know its wrong.

Off my soap box now,:o thanks

  • I'm dizzy from all this xbox talk. Lets hope tomorrow that head office call/email each and everyone of us to explain the situation (whatever the outcome maybe) and then we can carry on like normal.

Lets talk about something a bit less heated....like Aero misprices?
