Well I have posted regarding the consoles in the last few days and have seen so many new users also posting about their being hard done to by tesco.

It isnt new your not old enough to remember the motorola m171 !!!! up early on most of us managed to get a phone on r+r mainly becasue the shock of the stores wernt aware of the problem I tried again a day later and the stores had been notified of the problem and were refusing r+r. I didnt go after sueing Tesco or complaining to much I contacted HO in an attempt but they said no aswell. so I got a refund an left. I wasnt bothered some you win some you loose, I dont know how many mobiles they gave away but alot of stores didnt have any left or had been removed within 2 days.

So we ALL now need to drop the console r+r hunt Tesco are never going to give £600k of stuff away, those that got them well done us that didnt go get your refund asap before tesco decide to not give a refund (hey who knows what they will try next?) If you feel lucky and find the offending SEL have go but dont expect to walk out with a free console.

To those new to r+r you will read of a few people being banned from stores you need to keep as low a profile as possible if you want to keep your options open having 1 store to visit will seriously restrict your r+r capabilities, arguing with CS staff and managers will get you talked about during breaks if another large £20+ r+r pops up you will nomally end up speaking to a manager as they seem to have to authorise refunds over £20 if you get the same manager and you argued with him the previous time then Im sure he will remember you at some point.

Some r+r ers have balls of steel grabbing multiple items at store after store and rack up a lot of freebys but they are few and far between they either plan their visits so to get diferent shifts and diferent staff or they travel alot and visit lots of different stores.

The reall problem is that the attempts i made this last week the staff refused the £10 or £20 refund and claimed that I hadnt bought qualifiying items I tried HO and they backed the manager in the end. ahh well onwards and upwards to the next trip to tesco.

like the last few posters have said - some you win, some you lose. Thats all that can be said for the console mistake.

Tesco made a mistake and attepted to rectify it. Some customers got a refund, some didn't.

We all know that the R&R policy is one that is `open to interpretation` by managers & CS staff. It all depends on luck.

I doubt that all the wailing and gnashing of teeth will make Mr T back down.

Shrug your shoulders and chalk it up to experience. If you know what your doing you`ll make more than the cost of a console in the next round of refunds. :beer:
