Anybody spoken to HO today about the X-Box
Haven't spoken to Head Office but there are still stores out there that haven't sorted out the SEL. I've been in 2 this morning that have had them out , and have successfully R & R'ed today. They weren't happy about it (understandably) but gave me a full refund at the end. Probably had something to do with having 2 different SELs - one saying save £20 and one saying save £10 on the shelf above.
Just goes to show that sometimes Tesco's communication is awful.

I have just spoken to HO they say about 2000 customers are affected. They won't honour the price promise. Anybody else had the same response
  • Surely that can't do that, it means they are quite happy to refund people if only a few are affected but think they can get away with it if lots are overcharged, makes a farce of there r&r policy

I am so cross. Next time I spot a misprice on meat etc I'm clearing the shelf in that store. Feel like writing to the papers etc. Why bother having a price promise

So its the end of the road then....

Oh well. I suppose I will head back to Tesco for a full refund (and free game) and wait for the next misprice to come along.

Do try for a full refund Tesco don't seem to communicate so somebody else might say something different

I am still new to this R & R malarkey, but have had a few cuts of meat, which are a godsend to those on a tight budget.

I dont really care about the whole X Box thing, but then they dont seem to be stickered up in our area. a lot of the meat doesnot have a SEL on it at the moment, so I have to assume that it is all wrongly priced and I was just too late....

Hi All. Sorry this is a long story. Today my hubby bought 6 meat items inncorrectly priced and went straight to customer services. Manager came down and to cut a very long story short said basically that because he had had refunds on previous occasions he would only be offered the difference today. Not accepting that he asked them to phone head office and the manger told them in effect that because hubby was now abusing the policy[ they know hes been there 3 times before although it is a few more than that]he was only prepard to offer the difference. Head office said that was ok. Hubby left store with head office number determined to not let it drop. Once home he rung them again spoke to person with most authority there today and after half an hour on the phone arguing that the policy was told that they would stand by the Rochdale stores decision. Hubby asked on numerous occasions a simple question.' can store manager override/ change company policy and HO would not say yes or no to this just kept reiterating that manager has discression if policy being abuse. There was no way they were backing down. he told them he would be writing to MR O'Leary and getting in touch with trading standards but they still wouldnt back down. Is it worth pursuing realistically for £30 of meat
Has anyone wrote to Sir Leahy after a refusal and got anywhere only I'm not sure if its worth the time and energy

Well if there are 2000 customers affected then we are just small fry and it goes to prove this was a genuine misprice as even the people who are not as clued up on this as some people here found the same thing.
What I cant believe is that some people have already been refunded and Tesco are willing to treat people differently.
I say get hold of Martin and get this whole farce public.
