It might be tedious to you, but to us that have been overcharged by tesco and are being denied what we are entitled to is really isn't! Soory if we are boring you but tis thread is to discuss tesco misprices and that is what we are doing. there are a lot of people on here that are trying to help other people in the same situation get what they are entitled to.
I understand that there are a lot of posts on the same misprice but the reasons for this are obvious.
Sorry if this sounds like I am having a go at you I really am not. I am just trying to put it into perspective.
Once again I am sorry if it offends but I really couldn't think of another way to put it.
    Have I said I am sorry?! ;)

    Scouse mode on.

Eeek - I bin here longer than you pal - eeek - etc etc.

    Scouse mode off.

    ;)

Sorry pal - I've been away for 2 weeks - almost 40 pages to read - never mind the mis-prices - and all I'm really reading is 'Where am dat sexy X Box' over and over again.

I dare say the more recent posts are more interesting.

And if you check me out - you will find me a most helpful Dude - been here helping other Dudes for a long time - although not as long as some others....

    Take her easy,

    Duder
  • Hi All. Sorry this is a long story. Today my hubby bought 6 meat items inncorrectly priced and went straight to customer services. Manager came down and to cut a very long story short said basically that because he had had refunds on previous occasions he would only be offered the difference today. Not accepting that he asked them to phone head office and the manger told them in effect that because hubby was now abusing the policy[ they know hes been there 3 times before although it is a few more than that]he was only prepard to offer the difference. Head office said that was ok. Hubby left store with head office number determined to not let it drop. Once home he rung them again spoke to person with most authority there today and after half an hour on the phone arguing that the policy was told that they would stand by the Rochdale stores decision. Hubby asked on numerous occasions a simple question.' can store manager override/ change company policy and HO would not say yes or no to this just kept reiterating that manager has discression if policy being abuse. There was no way they were backing down. he told them he would be writing to MR O'Leary and getting in touch with trading standards but they still wouldnt back down. Is it worth pursuing realistically for £30 of meat

Knock the O' off if you plan to contact Sir Terry.

Was it six different products or six of the same thing?

The store believe the system has been abused and customer service have said that the store has discretion in that case. Sounds reasonable to me (without getting in to whether it is abuse or not).

R&R is not an issue for Trading Standards they will only be interested in the overcharging, to deal with the issue of r&r you need to approach Advertising Standards Agency as this is their realm.

  • 2 chickens, 2 pack lamb chops, 2 small joint beef. Could have got more as he left others incorrect on shelf so I dont think we were abusing it to the extent we could.
