After hearing this and checking to find out that the electrical manager had ignored the email, he backed down and gave us a full R&R for £137 - what a result!

Went to another store and went for it again with the PS2 and Full Spectrum Warrior. No £20 off at till so went to CS. Argued with Dep manager who implied we were trying to get £240 from tesco. After my wife nearly punched him at this point and stormed off he agreed to the free game and would not budge any more saying it was store discretion. At the last minute he saw another sign saying PS2 + game £14 off dated a week ago. His face dropped and said this sign is out of date and is Tescos mistake - FULL REFUND of game and PS2.

Been to other stores today and no more offers but got other R&Rs

Total for the weekend

PS2 + over the hedge = £137
PS2 + Full spectrum = £120
Whitney x 2 = £34
Vtech animal bus x 3 = £33
Tesco Finest photo frames x 3 = £36

£360

PS2 with OTH is £127.96, btw, not £137.

it was one of the silver ps2 (£110) with over the hedge - R&R was £137.94. the 2nd one i got was a black one for £100 + Full spectrum warrior which was upposed to be £29 but bizarrely scanned at £19.99 -still didn't get the £20 off

the others were Vtech rocking animal bus - got 3 @ £10.93 - should have been £8 ish - still got the receipt unmarked for this so will take back for a full refund as well!

tesco finest photo frame gift set - should have been £9 ish but charged £12 ish

what do you suggest i do with the free stuff? got to be ebay hasn't it? any other suggestions?

photo frame gift set is kids gift set - really nice frame and 2 teddies and a keepsake box, would make lovely present

Ahhh......didn't know the silver one was more expensive! I got a black PS2 and OTH.

No suggestions as to what you do with your stuff, although others probably have. At the end of the day, it's up to you.

What is your personal view on this.

Do you think that we all have a chance of R&R on this? I'm sure that you have read our previous posts.

I have no idea what the out come will be.

Had one been bought from me (before I took down the POS :rolleyes: ) I suspect I would have given the refund. But it would have been the only one, the POS would have been history from that point.

Very frustrating.

Ahem....could I just to say something in Hey Dude's defence, in reply to the 2 posts that criticised him when he said the xbox/PS2 posts were boring.

Newbies may not know that the Dude is a regular and useful contributor to this thread, often tips us off for new bargains on the misprices thread too.

As the Dude said, he has been away and is catching up reading the posts on the thread and was only on page 16 (we're now on page 40-odd). I may be wrong - because I can't be bothered to read back over the old stuff - but I think he's referring to all the speculative posts prior to last Thursday's 'D-day' (or X-day in the case of x-boxes).

Now they were a little boring until IT happened and some of you actually got the consoles and may be in line for refunds (if not already obtained). So wait for the Dude to catch up and normal service to be resumed with his posts.....thanks all!

Beakerandgonzo a quick question why get multiples of everything? it is a waste unless you have a use for the items. I like the thrill of the chase and getting an r+r on a big item but getting 2 and not having a use for 1 is just crazy.

why not offer one of the PS2's to the people asking where to get them cheap in the I wanna buy it/do it forum on here? give a little back tot he money saving world. offer it get the persont o send a courier or somthing to collect it at their cost so you cant do a runner with the money. I know selling isnt allowed on MSE but surley giving is?
