I can confirm that as well because we are from the same area. Gt. Yarmouth had the same POS, it was a yellow six inch squareish one attached to the shelf edge alongside the SEL. Gt Yarm removed everything, the posters, SEL's, POS for xbox, ps2, psp and ds.

That was my argument right from the start. The cs stated that the discount only comes off when you purchase the game of the week. I bought a different game as the game of the week was PREY and it was an 18. No good for me as I was buying the xbox for my young son. My R&R claim wasn't on the basis of the game of the week poster but the pos that stated £20 off xbox 360 & Game. Which to me meant any game.

The cs staff went to prove it to me that the discount comes off with the game of the week and surprise, surprise. It didn't.

two !!!!-ups I make that. All the staff including the manager admitted fault but manager only offered games for free. The same happened later to me in another store in Stalham, more or less word for word.

Good point that, I bought a black ps2, a silver ps2, psp giga pack, xbox 360 wireless, psp base along with games for each on Friday and I have no money left either. However I notice sometimes that the credit goes in before the debit. I can't use this particular card at all during the bank holiday either.

I always have problems with my cards in Tescos anyway. Everytime that I use them it comes up as voice authorisation required, which means that cs staff have to call Barclays for approval. This is purely because I go all over the country R&Ring and the banks computer thinks that the card has been stolen.

Only happens in Tesco though.

Does anyone know if the charts specify a particular PS2 you have to buy? I am sured I checked and do not recall seeing anything to that effect. As far as I remember it just saaid buy a PS2 and Game of the Week (reservoir dogs) and save £20.

Re: xbox debacle - to the poster who asked - when the offer works correctly the reciept shows the £20 to come directly off the game. Then at the bottom of the reciept, where the usual BOGOFs etc are shown, it says "Console + game £20 discount".

The game you bought is the game of the week. The discount should have come off, but didn't. You have been overcharged. The offer applies to all PS2s, as it doesn't specify any particular PS2.
