I think everyone is right to hold onto their purchases for the time being, and refusing any offers made for £10 or £20 refunds or the game free. With so many people in the same position, they will probably eventually just cave.
Also, how could we word it to say that they've honoured R&R at some stores and not others without mentioning MSE? We don't want them to think we're ganging up on them:rolleyes:0 -
Laura032004 wrote:Got my first non-meat/cheese R&R today :j The Whitney Houston CD. Had a bit of trouble as apparently I had the wrong one - did everyone else get the double CD pack? Apparently it was Whitney - Greatest Hits that was the cheaper price, I had Whitney - The Greatest Hits!! Got the R&R though as the poster advertising the offer said The Greatest Hits too! Funnily enough the SEL had already been removed, so they couldn't verify if my barcode matched, which suggests somebody else has already R&R'd that CD.
Any ideas if any of the other CD's are still scanning wrong? All the scan points are out of order at our Tesco's
Poppadoms scanned BOGOF at our Tesco's - the lime and coriander ones. Wotsit shelf labels all removed!
Did they not ask you how you knew it was mis-priced then?

You don't honestly think that they don't know about this thread do you!!!!!?
They cannot do anything about this thread and they know it.
REMEMBER: It is Tesco that is flouting the law by knowingly over-pricing, NOT us!!!
If they acknowledge that this site exists then they are admitting that they know about their own over-pricing and have failed to do anything about it.
It suits us both to exist in this manner.

There was a poster with a list of the top 100 CD's on it, and certain CD's had a special price against them - this one was meant to be £7.97. It was no.53 on the chart I think. HTH0 -

I've written a letter to Head Office and also emailed Sir Terry because HO refused to honour the policy.

I was thinking that, I don't want to ring up and go 'My friend got one just this morning and had no problems at all' or 'I got one in another store and had no problems'
You have 30 days I believe, so this should be plenty of time. If it does get to that, get the game for free, money back for console, and sell the game on ebay. At least we'll make a few quids....0 -

Oh they already know about this thread dont worry. It was mentioned to me on the phone to head office that the internet was the reason for all the SEL's being pulled all over the country!
I have just come back from my local store (not the one I bought the xbox from) and the SEL has been removed
If anyone needs a copy of the SEL I have the actual one from the store I bought mine from.
I didn't see this thread until I had bought mine, I had every intention of paying the offer price0 -

The CS staff at Head Orofice told me that there have been absolutely loads of complaints today about all the console misprices and it is all over that website, MSE.

I wonder what Trading Standards would think about that. Having misleading advertising up for weeks, yet not doing anything about it until customers start making complaints. The fact that it has been like it for a few weeks and I'm sure HO knew about it means it cannot be classed as a mistake anymore. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
