In France, parents have (just based on looking) better control of children, the kids don't misbehave, perhaps they don't have kids with adhd, then again they tend not to pump their kids full of e numbers.

    Thank you !

I agree with all of you on that.

Like I say that is another personal issue which I have been dealing with for 16 years.

We were given the keys to my parents house and told "See you in a couple of hours".

When a similar happened a 8 years ago with my in-laws due to discrepancy in time of meal it was one out all out.

Very different families and family values unfortunatly.

I'm glad the rest have more support. :D

no actually its a bit of a dig at your childish behaviour.
Maybe you can get an adult to explain it to you

How am I acting like a child? I am not the one throwing around insults. I already said I am going to stop arguing about the smacking of children and the restaurant complaint. And I have. Yet you continue to try and troll me into giving you insults back.

    Why?

How am I acting like a 12 year old by saying that me and others aren't going to have the same view and I am stopping arguing? Please explain to me.

Unbelievable, parents not supposed to go on foreign holidays now?

Maybe we should just ban children as they are too much hassle for the general public to put up with.

Is this in anyone's election manifesto? I'll vote for them

Can you explain what you meant by your not so thinly veiled threat contained in post #25 - seemed childish to me.

From the OPs further comments I personally would make this the last ever family meal that I attended.

If and when i am fortunate to go out for a meal, i like to enjoy it and will avoid 'family' restaurants, may be its the area i am in, but there will be parents wrapped up in their own drinks/meals/conversations, and completely ignore what their own child is doing..

I don't want to be somewhere with kids shouting, screaming and running around. screaming hurts my ears, and then its not enjoyable for me, and yes i have complained if i am not happy.

In France, parents have (just based on looking) better control of children, the kids don't misbehave, perhaps they don't have kids with adhd, then again they tend not to pump their kids full of e numbers.

When ds was small, if he played up when out and about, we went home, no if's and no buts, he was a 'normal' child.

OH's neighbour has 4 kids one has adhd and my god.. they don't structure his day, he screams and cry's 99% of the time, i would not like to be out with them at all.
how do you know thyres no people with adhd in france also theres no link to adhd and pumping kids with enumbers as you put it

and children with autism/adhd are "normal children"

There is a link between add, adhd and diet, especialy e-numbers or additives.

Edited to add of course they are "normal" children. Or what is "normal".
