So as my opinion differs from 3/4 of you I am acting like a 12 year old child?
I have neither insulted or sworn at any of you, I just disagree with your comments. Unfortunately you lot can't do the same.
It's quite obvious that neither of us sides are going to give in so I won't bother arguing with any of you anymore.0 -
Don't understand the thread title as the 2.5 year old wasn't thrown out of Beefeater at all?!
If I ordered a kids meals and an adult meal arrived, it would go straight back.
If I ordered a well done steak and it arrived blue, it would go straight back.
I can't understand why you didn't say anything at the time, but have gone in all guns blazing afterwards.
You had the chance at the time to put things right, so I don't think complaining now will get you anywhere.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

If my kid was hungry it would be straight back sans Chips - I also would not have allowed my family to be moved to a corner of the bar. At a family do my mum would have laid down the law on that and still would. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Ok. She was. Order of events
1) We arrive daughter having just woken up
2) Sit at table daughter a little upset
3) Daughter gets more distressed so I take her out and calm her down
4) Come back and have a change (Disabled toilet with change facilities) situated next to open doored kitchen
5) Return to table and sit on knee getting upset and asking for Calpol
6) Asked to leave by manager due to complaints (Thrown Out!!!!)
7) Leave restaurant with twin sister in tow. Girls being strapped into car.
8) Manager comes out changing her mind saying we will put you in a different ares (This was the bar in the furthest corner possible).
9) Return to Bar where food already on table and no manager response until presented with bill. Not even asked if we want desert.
Did I miss anything?
Just wanted to clear up any confusion. No more required on the subject of the complaint. They are 4 days after the 15 day response time that is stipulated when feedback/complaint left on their site with not even an acknowledgment of receipt.
I will chase it.
Thanks again for the advice. Might be time to lock this thread as my queries have been answered and it only now appears to be serving as a tit for tat messages which does not help anyoneAugust Make £10 per day £0/£310Credit Card Debt Paid Off £42/2952.680 -

If one of my kids were having a paddy, I'd move us all to a corner myself!
Luckily, I've never had to do that, but I can understand that if you have a tired and kranky baby/child with you, that not everyone around wants to hear them.
We went for a meal at the weekend, me, OH and the baby who will be 1 next week.
We gave him a cup of juice while we were waiting for food and he started banging it on the table, so I took it off him and put it back into my bag.
He had a little moan, but nothing that a few funny faces couldn't stop.
It's probably already been said here, but the ONE thing I can't stand when eating out, are children who are left to run around the premises on their own, while their parents are too busy chatting or drinking, not giving a damn what their kids are upto. :mad:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

You were asked to leave and then they changed their mind, so you went back in, and ate the wrong, cold food?? And THEN paid for it? :rotfl::rotfl:
Come off it, really?? What did you do that for???
If I got asked to leave somewhere and then was asked to go back, I'd tell them to fig off!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Lokolo, I quote "Please, if you ever have kids, or if you do, pray to God you never run into me on a plane or a restaurant."
I have kids, well behaved ones because I ensure it. I agree many don't. But if you throw around threatening statements then expect some back.0 -
OP this post is not aimed at you,i feel that what happened to you in that beefeater was out of order, however i agree with a lot of people here that said you should have complained at the time if you were not happy.
A lot of Parents have full control of there children, but there are other parents who are ruled by there children.Any parent......and i have three children 16,14,6 who has any measure of control would need one word and the behaviour would have ceased, however you have the other end of the spectrum where parents will tell there children to behave only to be treated with derision and contempt by there children.
Its the type of parent that i have just highlighted that are the main cause of most upset,be that on a plane,on holiday,a restaurant or supermarket.we are none of us perfect parents we all make mistakes, its how you learn to deal with the aspect of your young disrupting others that will define there behaviour, brush it off and they will continue, add a stern word and some sort of punishment..(not hitting) and if they know you are serious they will stop,if you add the punishment and dont go through with it they will walk all over you and no matter what you say in the future they will never show you that respect.
i have three children and i am by no means perfect, yet when i tell them to quieten down they will simply because they may want to go out later with there friends,if they do not they will be spending the night in,no ifs no buts, and certainly no going back on my word.
Just my opinion.Forum spellcheckers are the pitts.0
