poet, you opposed the original action and now you are posting to oppose that the same action hasn't happened in this case... I'm genuinely confused about what you are wanting to see happen?

I opposed the original action for a single use of the word, and one which subsequently the poster who used it inferred that she did not want the thread to be closed for.

The BG'S stated that in their opinion that thread was correctly closed. So, that being the case why, when the useage of that same word is seen numerous times on this thread (and other nasty posts with innuendo and outright spite) do the same rules not apply.

I am confused, particularly when the same BG is on the thread herself.

It wase either correctly closed or not, and this one should be closed or not, but the same rules should apply.

    Or is that too simplistic?

Indeed I did, and you told me quite categorically that you thought because the word bully had been used it was the correct course of action to close that thread, and that you fully supported it, and would have done the same thing.

You have been party to this thread, yet did not appear to see the numerous uses of the same word here.;)

I have indeed seen all of the posts on this thread and your post above illustrates exactly the difficult position board guides are in. We're damned if we do and damned if we don't! :)

Yesterday a thread was closed and referred to the team. I agreed and still agree with that decision. But you and a few others screamed that this was an abuse of powers by board guides and refused to accept that it wasn't personal and that we made a judgement call that we all felt was the correct thing to do.

Today there is another thread that has sadly turned into a slanging match. I certainly don't want a repeat of yesterday, so I have referred it to the team who are paid to deal with this kind of thing.

Of course that isn't good enough...now you are complaining because board guides aren't closing threads??? :rotfl:

I am sure you are aware that what I am complaining about is a lack of consistency. One comment elicited a closure, numerous identical ones are overlooked. Or, to put it another way, the double standards that apply.

The only change being who those comments were aimed at.:D

Similar double standards to those who are posting saying let it drop, right after one of those who are being villified answers back, but not in the preceding pages where we have not posted. So, clearly aimed at us, not the topic in general, or the other posters who seem to have carte blanche to post as they see fit because they run with the crowd.

    Just my observations.

I have already, as I explained in an earlier post.

How is this OT when the topic is concerned with who did what to upset PP?

Maybe you should just wait for the team's response then. :)

And it is OT because this thread is about supporting our Board Guide. My post earlier was OT but was in direct response to me being accused of being a witch so I hope I'll be forgiven.

I had no idea you took such interest in threads on Old Style Poet. I don't remember you posting on the original thread. Yet you really seem to have got the bit between your teeth on this one.

Supporting the BG by agreeing with unfounded accusations? surely you cannot expect those who are being accused by PP in that emotive first post to let it pass uncommented upon? or not to answer their subsequent critics?

I am sure this was the outcome PP expected when she made that post.

I dont post on OS (yet, I may do so from now on in) and am clearly not in the gang, that does not concern me. I posted to agree that the second thread had been summarily closed, I assume you agree I am allowed to pass any comment on any topic I see fit?

    .

I don't think anyone has called you a witch but perhaps you would like to prove me wrong.
