Aww P-P (((hugs))) I have read the posts involved & can see why you were so upset :(
I hope you will realise that however they made you feel that probably wasnt thier intention, just that some people have thicker skins than others & would find it difficult to realise how hurtful those comments
    & criticism could be.
I also hope you will one day soon return to us & maybe even to BG'ing again

I dip in and out of the Old Style thread and must have missed the abusive posts. I'm so sorry that a few nasty minded people have upset you. They must lead pretty sad lives to get pleasure from anonymous abusive posts. They probably wouldn't have the nerve to stand up and say the same things if we were all together in one big room.

Don't let them get to you. Most people involved in any kind of voluntary activity have the misfortune to come across these individuals from time to time. Give yourself a well deserved break and we'll hope to see you back on here soon.

Penny, I only know you from the Flylady thread, but I've always enjoyed your posts over there and the BG help you've sometimes had to do for us flyladies. I hope you will be back soon as we will really miss you. Take some rest and hopefully things will calm down here.

I really want to add that I think it's horrible that people have continued the argument here - follow the correct channels if you feel someone has acted inappropriately - don't follow them around the forums making comments. And referring to someone as "little Hitler" is just as bad as calling them Hitler, in fact there is no difference.

I find it interesting that some posters can be called bullies, spiteful, idiots etc etc, but this thread remains open. Yet that was the very reason cited by Penelope and the other BG's for closing the other thread.

They stated they take accusations of bullying very seriously, well you really dont need to look too far on here to see that in action. However, the thread remains.

I am confused, could it be one rule for one and another for others?

I did make my complaint through the proper channels at the time as advised by Penelope and I said nothing on the closed then re opened thread which I need to be ashamed of.

The BG's need to look at this thread, and see why it is exempt from the usual (often posted))rules of MSE.

ETA my first post and subsequent posts re the closure of that thread attracted around 10 people (per post) to thank them, so clearly it was nothing untoward, mean or impolite about those posts.

You shouted long and hard about the previous thread being closed by a board guide so this thread has been reported to abuse. It is for them to decide what to do with it.

Indeed I did, and you told me quite categorically that you thought because the word bully had been used it was the correct course of action to close that thread, and that you fully supported it, and would have done the same thing.

You have been party to this thread, yet did not appear to see the numerous uses of the same word here.;)

Can I just quietly say that I find it very distateful that people are using PenPen's thread to push their own agenda.
