    Morning all..

We had a slight lie in, but Rhys woke up when OH and I were talking before he left for work so came in with me and spent the next few hours on and off sleeping and beating me up *rolleyes*

My grandparents have visited this morning, we're going to Boogie Babies with mum after lunch and I'll call in and vote on my way home, then OH's dad may be calling in on us and then finally I'm going out with friends from work for tea :)

I think we've decided OH will take the shift job.. roughly the same money but for working less days (currently works 12 on 2 off days only, but on shifts will work two days, two nights, four off, repeat that three times then get a ten day break so actually only does 12 shifts a month). The time off (to spend with Rhys) is just too attractive to turn down. Still might have to go through a whole nonsense recruitment process and interview because there's another similar job coming up too and they want to choose OH plus a back up for the next job from this one round of recruitment but he should walk it :)

Right, I have a grouch in need of a yoghurt to sort.. back later :)

Hope everyone has a good day xx

Argh, stressful day. The seller on ebay has emailed me to say my bridesmaid dresses might not be here in time for the wedding!!!!
Even though i emailed him before i bought them to ask if they would be here and he said yes!!

How long do you have to get a claimback on paypal? Is it 45 days or 60?

Have the post natal check up today, think i have to have the rubella injection so i have to do a pregnancy test first.

Am i allowed to refuse it? Because i dont really like things being injected into me. And i doubt im ever going to catch rubella.

Kindof, I really hope you find something that works soon, you sound wrung out. Remember that is ok to put him in his cot/crib in another room and walk away, I've done it often enough.

3, I HATE the iphone, it is the wedge between DH and I and I dream of putting a stiletto heel through it! (and also I'm jealous)

I've not used my tumble dryer in almost 2 weeks! I'm very proud of myself, but I'll use it today to do the socks juts to make sure it still works :D

EA, rubella can be very serious in pregnancy, miscarriage, baby born with severe illnesses/disability etc. If you are planning on having more children, I'd strongly suggest you get it.

I hate that OH is constantly faffing with his Iphone and i've threatened to stuff it up his backside sideways a few times - but i'm jealous too so I shall join him I think. :p

I haven't used my dryer for ages either, but will need to today as my bedding is out on the washing line, now absolutely soaking wet thanks to the downpour we've just had.

Tara thanks :) so if I get 6-12 months then they should fit him (at 6 months even though he's big) cos thats a big gap, like there is a coat I want for him but he probs wont need it till Nov when he will be 8 months, so the 6-12 should fit him then? I am !!!!! at explaining what I mean lol

get the bigger sized coat!! They NEVER allow for needing to wear a jumper underneath so while it will fit over a tshirt you will only get a month or 2 with a jumper.. the bigger coat will allow for movement, strapping in buggy, and a jumper.. and fit a bit longer!

I've been waiting 4 months for one on one item of mine!

Yes of course you can refuse it!!

What you need to consider is.. rubella is potentially far more dangerous to an unborn child than people realise.. go have a read up on rubella babies and make a decision then! As an unprotected adult the virus targets you and passes through the unvaccinated population.. however.. I've never had any vaccines and I am immune anyway.. so I must have been in contact with it at some point and not become ill.

My children are not vaccinated and I don't like vaccines I think they do more harm than good in many cases, but looking at the options here is advisable due to the potential risks.

Look at the crap that is in the vaccine and the effects of rubella on a baby and make an informed choice rather than doing what is expected without question.

I wouldn't have the swine flu one either.. after sleeping next to OH coughing and grotting all over me and looking after 4 children with it I think I am unlikely to get it.

    EA, here http://www.vaccineinformation.org/rubella/qandavax.asp
What if I was pregnant but didn't know it and got vaccinated against rubella?
Women are advised not to receive the rubella vaccine during pregnancy as a safety precaution based on the theoretical possibility of a live vaccine causing disease, in this case "congenital rubella syndrome" (CRS).

Because a number of women have inadvertently received this vaccine while pregnant or soon before conception, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has collected data about the outcomes of their births. From 1971-1989, no evidence of CRS occurred in the 324 infants born to 321 women who received rubella vaccine while pregnant and continued pregnancy to term. As any risk to the fetus from rubella vaccine appears to be extremely low or zero, individual counseling of women in this situation is recommended, rather than routine termination of pregnancy.

Thats just one page I found quickly.

You should speak to your GP about it ideally, weigh up potential risks of not being vaccinated against potential risks of being vaccinated.
