The extra security wont stop me from travelling. I have a Long haul flight booked in September, if i can't take any books, magazines until im through departures then no bother i will just buy one.
Yes more expensive but wouldn't you all rather be safe, you can't buy anything if your dead can you
As always the minority spoils everything for the majority.
Have to agree with some previous posts though, if they don't like our Country and the way the Western World live, why the hell are they living here:mad:0 -

If you read some of the posts here and replace the word Muslim with the word Jew you start to see how the other side see it.
Read these posts again and you will see just how nasty we can be.

HI Pingu,
I'm sure that the majority of Muslims are gentle, law abiding people who abhor all this as much as everyone else.
It must be so difficult to be a Muslim at this time, and it is good to see that you deplore these actions of a few fanatics. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
no-one has the right to kill/massacre innocents, - men, women and children
be it bush, blair, israeli gov. or terrorists!
which they are all doing at the moment.- they have blood on their hands!!!!!!!
i would call them scum - i am really angry!!!!!!!!!!11Nice to save.0 -

We are due to be flying on holiday to Portugal on Tuesday and hope things have settled a bit by then.
So does anyone know about watches? Im going to New York next week and still am confused as to what you can take. People say that if you buy things (apart from liquids) you can take them onboard like books but i'm not sure if I will be able to as going to the States? From New York, we have another flight to Mexico a few days later. Anyone know what the staus of hand luggage is on flights from the US? I keep finding different answers everywhere.
I hate how these extremists believe that they can go and blow people up becuase they don't agree with the Western way of life but are happy enough to live in the UK! I was really looking forward to this trip but don't even want to go now. My aunty and family were flying to LA last Thursday and it just makes me feel so sick and angry when I think of what could have happened.0 -

and of course BAA will want to make sure none of their money making empire is lost on all those after security checks shops sales even though its a goldmine for terrorists to make bombs or get weapons from those shops
in the real world after the hype, money comes first and security second..that aint going to change yet
something big like what was going to happen will have to happen for security to be the number one priority
its going to be back to normal soon at airports with everyone waiting for another 911 type event to happen
Sorry i'm going to have to disagree, they will put our security first over money because if our country doesnt have these securities in place, no one will visit our country and then the businesses wont have any business.
If terroisim continues to iincrease within the UK it will seriously effect our economy.Abbey Loan £6,000
