Regarding those people holding banners and dressing as suicide bombers. Some of them were arrested and are facing criminal charges. They were also roundly condemned by several responsible Muslim leaders. As usual (as in the case of the IRA and the Irish people) the actions of a minority are being blamed on the majority.

Fraserca, Have you forgot about the London Bombings,was it the Goverment who "invented" what happened.
Innocent people do get killed and arrested,maybe for a tip off by someone.
Do you not think better to have this ,than let it go and pay the consequences.
People will react,when the likes of clerics etc hide these people,and YES I do believe that a fanatic would use their Babe in arms.
After all they believe they are off to a better place!!.
It is about time that,and this is not racist,people entering this country,respected OUR laws.We have to when visiting their countries.
Alot of them are born here and are British,I feel for the hard working tax payers,be it Muslim or any race/creed and colour.
Do not forget their parents/grandparents fled here to stop persecution,yet it is their offspring who persecute us.(Not All)!!
Yet those who want to bomb us are quite willing to take the handouts,if you want a better life then go back to where you came or fight for,and leave us in peace.

If they are British Born and are found guilty,......................................
HANG THEM AS TRAITORS !!!!.
They would do it in their countries.
Maybe the dogooders will realise who they are sucking up too,one day!!!

Trisontana,Is it a witch hunt?.Some will react to any situation and people,I hope it does not spread.But if these people have to be found by arresting innocents, then so be it.
It is surprising how many people come out of the woodwork,when it kicks off.If they reported their worries in the first place ,then maybe a lot of wrongfull arrests can be avoided.
I have lost 3 friends who were fighting for these fanactics freedom.!

Maybe if we kept our nose out of Iraq and Afganistan we wouldn't have to worry about this.

We were considered 'The honest broker' by the world AND WE WERE RESPECTED around the world for being fair and just.

We were never considered a target for terrorism (except by Republicans) until we blindly started sucking up to the Yanks.

If these peopleare guilty then let them go to hell cos thats what they deserve.

But lets also have our own direction and be the worlds most respected nation.

I'm proud of who we are and what we stood for so lets get back there

If you read some of the posts here and replace the word Muslim with the word Jew you start to see how the other side see it.

im afraid that i cannot see in the long term security checks stopping such events happening, the situation will have to return to "normal" because there will be to much money lost to buisnessmen with extra time wasted at airports and loss of laptops etc for hours on end

and of course BAA will want to make sure none of their money making empire is lost on all those after security checks shops sales even though its a goldmine for terrorists to make bombs or get weapons from those shops

in the real world after the hype, money comes first and security second..that aint going to change yet

something big like what was going to happen will have to happen for security to be the number one priority

its going to be back to normal soon at airports with everyone waiting for another 911 type event to happen

I booked my hol yesterday. Not looking forward to airport restrictions. However, i will not let the evil people in this world dictate what i can do. To hell with the evil ones. We should unite and stand strong as a nation. What is needed at this time is patience and understanding. So ... and it pains me to say we may spend more cos we have to buy everything from the airport or on the plane. But i would rather that than take the risk of ending up dead or letting our lives be controlled by and live in constant fear of terrorism. :mad:

Spare a thought for those working at the uks airports during this transitional period.

Well said Yorkshirepud - I booked our holiday to Orlando yesterday, we go in early October. I did think twice, but then thought tht if we don't go we have given in, and I don't want to do that !!

Let's face it, if your number's up, it's up, and I just feel really sorry for the air crew who are facing this every day.

You at the top of page stated that it was the goverment to blame.
We have seen it ,mothers,children in arms,damning the West,Children dressed holding Placards,dressed in combat uniform.
I have many friends of all faiths,they are ashamed of what their so called brothers and sisters are doing.
Some people,(dogooders)called for Tyrany to be stopped,suffering to be stopped,we have gone in to stop the brutality,for what ?.
The very ones we try to help,turn on us.
As was said earlier,maybe, we as a nation should look after ourselves,and not worry about others.
Get your head out from under your kilt,and look around.
Maybe that innocent child,and I do hope not,is planning your/our downfall .!!!!!!
It is a minority,which can be beaten,IF all stand together.
