Vikki, if it makes you feel better I've just had rhubarb crumble with ice cream... and I had buttered toast for breakfast (am at mum's for BH weekend). :o Just put it behind you and move on. Try to work out how you felt before and afterwards etc.

No chocolate yet today though!!!! I've figured that my weakest times are late in the evening, so am going to devise a strategy for avoiding temptation at that time. OH may be drafted in to distract me lol.

ghrrrrrrr just had 6 squares of TESCO white choc which is full of FAT! It was sitting on the table in front of me and made no difference that it was my dads. How bad is that! I will be in trouble now! I just couldnt stop myself though ghrr

In my house my dad's chocolate is fair game. Poor him! He doesn't really care and most of the time he won't remember he's got it :o

I think the worst times for me are when I get too hungry that all sense goes out of the window and evenings in front of the tv. My mum suggested knitting :rotfl: Actually I did knitt a scarf a few years ago but wool is too expensive.

As for me I've had a terrible weekend food wise. No chocolate (because there isn't any) but I have eaten absolutely loads for three days in a row and I'm suffering really badly with IBS pains this morning which entirely serves me right. I put it down to hormones, bordom as my OH is bedridden at the mo and stressing about work this week. I just wish I could fast-forward to thursday and get tue and wed out of the way right now!

Anyway I'm going back to keeping a food diary to get back on track and to stop myself replacing chocolate with EVERYTHING else in the house!

:rotfl:I have a half finished scarf by my bed. I took knitting up because I figured I wouldn't be able to eat chocolate if I had knitting needles in both hands. Well the scarf is half finished so take from that what you will! Hope you feel better soon ljaneyr, let us know how you get on with the food journal.

Well I've broken my chocolate fast. I had some this morning. It wasn't overly fantastic. Yeah it was nice but as I ate it I remember thinking 'this, THIS is what I binging on?!?'

I signed up to a calorie counting website yesterday out of curiosity. I'm not going to do it properly mainly because I used one a few years ago and found it a real faff to enter in all the ingredients for home cooked meals. But I was curious to see what this one was like so I signed up. It was a bit disheartening to see that for the price of one (not particularly large) bar of chocolate I could have had a full meal. I think I would have rather have had the meal!

I had a big slip up last night after posting here. I ate THREE Fox's Classic bars and a bag of crisps grr. Why?????????????

Back on t'wagon today, have taken advantage of Tesco tomato glitch (to the tune of 130 cartons lol) so have LOTS of healthy goodies to choose from, plus a £40 gift card to spend on more healthy stuff. PLUS 130 cartons of toms to use up!!!!!! :rotfl: Thanks Mr T (for once!).

Will do tara! I've had one flapjack today so no choc yet and I avoided the post work biscuit binge again with a banana and some cashews:j Well, quite a lot of cashews actually...

Off to a new yoga class now so a little bit nervous and I will be peckish when I get in. Please let me not eat any rubbish later!

Well done all of you :j. I need to change my strategy - I seem to be doing fine on the no-choc challenge (am managing to just eat other people's chocolate without actually getting my own!), but apart from that I have started eating what the hell I want! Crisps, wine, bread, cake, cheese, more crisps - bring it on :eek::eek:. I have had a mega 5-day Thurs - Mon bank hol weekend, have done major damage to my WeightWatchers plan (was fun though ). Have a really stressful week at work this week, also meant to be going away this weekend - I need some serious damage limitation/ how to get back on track advice! Any words of wisdom gratefully received ...

I wouldn't worry too much buyitall. I'm sure your eating habits will settle down.

Don't know if they'll be much use to you but my tips for cutting down are:
    1. I have a jar of sunflower seeds on my desk. I'm 'allowed' to nibble on as many as I want through the day. They keep me occupied and stop me reaching for snack foods.
    2. Before every meal have a big glass of water/squash and then wait ten minutes to start eating. Chances are you'll feel a lot fuller and won't eat as much.

When I'm really trying to watch what I eat I make it a rule that I can't eat anything without having had a drink first. I know I frequently think I'm hungry when I'm actually thirsty and having a drink first helps cut down on unnecessary calorie consumption.

    Are you off anywhere exciting??

Today has not been a good day for me. Lots of chocolate consumed. ....but tomorrow's another day and I'll start again. At least I know that what I've eaten today is no where near how much I would have eaten pre-challenge days.

Thanks for the advice, saverholic, I will try to put it into practice, especially the drinking and waiting policy. I'm off to Manchester for the weekend, seeing Peter Kay on Sat night. DH and I only get away on our own about once a year ;). Having said that, we are trying to sell the tickets due to other commitments at home. If we can't sell them we will go, have already got the hotel booked but can cancel up til Saturday if we change our minds!
