There was a home made chocolate brownie, all gooey and full of nuts around here a few minutes ago. Can't think where it went but it seems to have vanished; all but a few crumbs
(It was worth the calories and the lapse from chocolate abstension though:rotfl:)0 -

I made tiramisu for a family party. There was some left over despite the best efforts of FIL (he confessed 6 portions to me) and I figured that the washer up gets the spoils. This was on top of having eaten the little leftover bit that didn't go in the big dessert dish. And having had a proper portion myself as well. Tiramisu has a very good sprinking of cocoa powder on it, thus the chocolate element. But I did not go out and buy it, this is an important distinction to me albeit the scales will not give a hoot.
So three portions, or if I'm being honest, four portions since I also scraped the bowl out. You can see why I would draw a veil over it
today I am chocolate free. (so far)

My halo has slipped  - but not as far as it could have. When I got to work today, someone had left a very large bar of Cadburys fruit and nut for me. I knew if I waited til I got home I would scoff the lot, so I opened it and left it for everyone to share - but 3 squares did jump into my mouth in the process. I suppose it could have been worse, a lot worse in fact - normally I would just eat the whole bar and feel like a failure, but I will try to think positive and congratulate myself that I stopped at 3. I need to find out the weightwatchers points so that I can count it into today's total, please let it only be one point per square...0

Hey can I join please?
I couldn't see a thread with chocolate in the title without reading it! So far got through the first 2 pages and I am so like all of you!
I just have to eat chocolate if it's availlable. When I'm eating it I eat it really quickly ignoring the part of my brain saying stop, it's almost like i'm trying to eat as much as I can before I manage to stop myself. How crazy is that?:(
I gave up chocolate for lent and apart from 2 slip ups at the beginning where I honestly (really honestly) forgot, but I craved it like mad all the way through to the point of being grumpy and tearful. My mum pointed out that I was eating loads of biscuits and cakes and was just replacing the sugar with something equally bad.
Chocolate and sugar in general makes me feel sick, then shakey when the sugar high has gone, moody, tearful and upsets my IBS. Apparently it can also give you anxiety and headaches which I suffer from from time to time. I know these things and yet still stuff myself every day!
This has become a problem for me since I moved back in with my parents as I can't avoid the stuff and don't have to pay for it, I rarely ate anything bad at uni and when living with the OH so I need some major will power to kick this habbit!
I'm going to keep a food diary and (if it's not too embarassing) record how much choc/biscuits etc I eat on here
Sorry for the really long post, going back to read the rest of the thread now!"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

It is good that you stopped at 3, I think that is the important thing. :T Be proud of yourself!!
Welcome to the challenge ljaneyr!! I will add you to the list of members on post #1. I too eat chocolate really quickly sometimes, then other times I eat it so slooooowly, I am weird!! :rotfl:
I have been craving something sweet all afternoon (don't know why). Anyway, with no chocolate to hand I have dipped into the office sweet jar and eaten 5 mint humbugs. Now I feel sick. I don't even need to stop myself from having any more, I couldn't eat another one if you paid me, urgh!!! My lunch was so darn healthy and tasty (smoked salmon with mini blinis and a spinach, tomato, pine nut and basil salad), and I felt fab after that! No choc today for me, I am so chuffed. Being a massive chocoholic (don't think many realise how bad all my life) I am so pleased. Lost 2lbs too this week!0

I agree with LiR on the nutella, but then again it is my own personal nemesis and I cannot be in the same living space as it
tara if it's any consolation I would have finished the jar...
My local shop didn't have any slimfast bars and the queue was too long to get out of it and go back to get any other chocolate so I am officially choc free today...0 -
I have had a mug of Options low-cal hot choc tonight, don't think that counts though, does it??0
