Ahhh! (again!) Help! OH and I bought a bargain breadmaker for £14.99 at the weekend, but have now discovered my poundshop scales leave a lot to be desired. I want to buy some lovely new electric ones for £34.99 from argos - I've kelkood and can't find them cheaper elsewhwere so - should that £34 go to the challenge or the scales? It seems like an extravagance, BUT OH spends about £3 a week on posh organic crusty bread, and this would save on that in the long run. Any thoughts?Official Debt Free Wannabe Nerd Club member 095! Have a fab weekend away Emily. If anyone deserves a nice break it's you!
Hard one about the scales Mirtos, if I encouraged you to buy the scales people might think i'm trying to slow you down paying of the £1000. However, as a breadmaker devotee I have to say that we wouldn't be without it now and save a fortune in making our own. I know the measurements have to be quite precise for some breads though so......no, I can't say it!January budget

Anyone care to join me in a little jig? I've just got a job interview (only part time supermarket work, but still a big deal for me as I've been a stay at home Mum for a while now and my esteem has taken a battering). So although it should probably pay about £300 a month, it will mean we could potentially be debt free by 2008 instead of 2010
Fingers crossed for Wednesday..0 -

Good luck Mrs Mug!
Mirtos - buy the scales. I'm not trying to sabotage your efforts! Think short term expense v long term gain. £3 a week in fancy bread? In 12 weeks you'll have broken even and you'll be making a profit.
In fact - why not do what a ex-colleague of mine did? Make a couple of extra loaves a week and flog 'em to your mates/colleagues at a cheaper-than-shop but more-expensive-than-you-make-it price.
Instant profit! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
